Head coaches don’t get hired to fix positional issues, they get hired to win. A new HC would mean a turnover of coaching staff, scheme, playcalling, and a lot of roster turnover as well, so it isn’t as if a new coach could just keep the offense from the previous team.

They have defensive issues and aren’t going to hire a coach with documented defensive issues.

Their whole program sucks. They’re going to bring in someone who can turn a program around. Offense vs defense doesn’t matter.

And I believe that when they do, they will not hire someone who's been dealing with continual defensive issues when they are already tired of that being a key factor in their own lack of success. I love Clawson but I think this defensive struggle over multiple years takes him out of the running of jobs like this one. Just the way I see it. Maybe in the next few years he can find the right person to get it resolved.

Usually you wear your themed uniforms/helmets at home, because you want your fans to see them (and then want to buy them). Maybe they weren't at home last week.
 
What would the final score (or opening line) be for WFU-Liberty or WFU-Coastal Carolina?
 
The Fighting Falwells are playing pretty well against State thus far. Hard to believe they're in the Top 25 in anything, or that they've already beaten two ACC teams this year.
 
Zac Thomas has done nothing but regress for App. He was awful today & has been for the season.
 
Perhaps our defensive coaching staff will receive an invitation to attend Liberty's camp in 2021 in order to learn how to hold the juggernaut NC State offense under 40 points.
