The 2020-21 College Football Thread: Alabama Unleashes Bold Familiar Flavor on CFB !!

I still cannot understand how he did not beat out a former walkon. He is clearly better than the 2 GA QB's that played last Saturday. Just dont understand what happened.

rightly or wrongly, the worse Covid ends up fucking up the season, the easier the explanation will be for guys that sat out

has there been any explanation as to how Lawrence was able to both be in COVID protocol and on the sidelines at Notre Dame?

He was out of the recommended isolation period but had yet to pass the conditioning & cardiac tests.

15 games ppd this weekend. VT and UM both with double digit Covid protocol players missing. UL without 7 including Tutu and top ACC RB and key backup fball. Our kids have so far handled this so very well.

ESPN flashing up a huge yellow bar during the game you’re watching, to announce not a final but just a score, is annoying.

My eye is automatically drawn to it and I think it’s signaling a penalty. Then I find out it’s Louisiana going from 7-0 to 14-0 over South Alabama.

Not to mention the bright yellow highlight in the MNF insert ad.

All the cancelations are annoying - i badly need something to wash the taste of that one out and there is nothing good on.

Good lord Michigan is awful, I mean down right awful. Harbaugh makes how much for this level of crapness?

It’s hard watching other games after a gut punch like that. I’m out of town and had to fast forward through a recording of our game but I haven’t even looked at other scores.

I didn’t realize there was Clawson to Michigan chatter, but there’s a decent amount out there in the Twittersphere.

If true, this is one of the few job openings where I can definitely see mutual interest on both sides.

Out of all of the "big time" jobs, this one checks the most boxes for Clawson, IMO.

But keep in mind Clawson's MO at every previous stop has been to suck outright for 2 to 3 years before turning it around and doubtful the boys up in Ann Arbor have the patience for this type of rebuild.

There was Clawson to Michigan State chatter too. Turns out it was nothing.

Michigan can and would hire a more high profile coach than Clawson and/or one with more obvious success.

Luke Fickell would be a clear choice if not for his tOSU roots.

Michigan’s issues are on the defensive side of the ball. They aren’t hiring Dave Clawson. Especially to replace their own guy.
