Bro, I'm looking at this tough mudder thing. Fuuuuuuuck 10 miles. That's the hang up for me. If it were swimming or biking, I might be able to hang. But running 10 miles? Man, fuck that sooooo hard.

Plus it's broken up about every half mile or so by an obstacle, so it's not like it's continuous running.

Got a much needed bro day coming up tomorrow with some peeps. Gonna get the kayaks out and run Wilson Creek Gorge tomorrow morning, and then play a round of disc golf in the afternoon. Looking forward to it.

Man this sounds magical. I'm looking to get on some water in some capacity here soon. I used to play disc golf in college and am about to start playing with some guys I work with. Hopefully we get a good weather weekend.

The longest journey begins with a single step, fair prince.

Running for exercise/sport has to be bottom three for me.

Power rank the following:

Swimming
Biking
Hiking
Zumba/MLM White Woman Flavor of the Month
80s Aerobics
Stair Climbing
Boxing/Sparring
Jumping Rope
Running
High Intensity Sprinting
Soccer/field sport
Rowing

Like, how the fuck is running not dead last in that group every time?

I used to love running when I was 15-24. I've tried to get back into it over the past near decade but haven't lasted more than 2 or 3 days a week for a few weeks before throwing in the towel.

My new ASD/BC move is a simple, brisk walk around the neighborhood pushing the baby stroller. You can scope the milfs, pet the dogs and aren't sweating balls due to running.

I hate running, but mako is right... There are very few stretches of long runs. It's actually good because it keeps the obstacles from being insanely crowded by spreading people out.

It's been a long time, but I did the last one as a group of like 5-6 people... The runs between obstacles was kind of a leisurely jog where we were still able to speak with each other. I wasn't trying to win the event or anything.

On your list above, I'd put running above swimming (only because I suck at swimming), stair climbing, MLM white women, and 80s aerobics. Also, while boxing sounds cool, I have zero interest in doing that as a part of my fitness routine.

Try trail running. It's like faster hiking.

I understand where you're coming from. I used to absolutely hate running. But when I picked up trail running about 6 years ago, I absolutely fell in love with it. Now there's little I enjoy less than running on a treadmill, but there's never a time when I'm running outside and the scenery is changing that I'm not enjoying it. You have to work your way into it slowly, but if you enjoy competition and seeing yourself grow, it's a lot of fun to see how much faster you get and how quickly it happens.

I'd hate for DG3 to hear me saying this, but Crossfit workouts are fun as hell too.

catching up on a couple of days

Most of my underwear is from J. Crew. I don't particularly like it, but they fit well. I have a bunch of Nike dri-fit compression that I use for when I'm working out.

I'd like to make a switch to boxerbriefs (I tried once in the past), but I've never been able to find a brand that I thought fit well. Suppressing this huge dong is an issue.

these are great - the H fly allows me to just whip it out and drop it back in without fishing around down the leg.

i started wearing exoffio boxer briefs and they're great. not too tight like most brands

I like the two pairs of these I have but you can't put them in the dryer. i don't like air drying things.

When I said whites, I obviously meant the 1780's definition. Southern Europeans don't count. French food highly overrated.

And congrats Pops!

I mean I wouldn't say no to a cordon bleu but that's about it for me. Enjoy your snails Pierre.

these are some of the worst takes ever. French food is amazing. Two of the best meals of my life were in about 3 days in france, and one of them DID in fact include escargot (while sitting in the middle of the eiffel tower. it really was spectacular.)

Asians very wildly on boringness from the tier 1A and 1 Asians. To lower tier Asians. The lower tier Asians vastly less boring

Having met some of your Asian family, I'd say they like to have a good time. That one hot one who went to the bar with us that time was a good time sally.

Loved doing CrossFit. Love boxing as a workout.

I also love jumping rope. When I wrestled in high school we did a lot of rope jumping.

I still can’t reliably do a double under.
