One question that needs an answer is whether there was an increase in flu vaccinations this Fall. Trump talked about the about to be Covid vaccines as the cure-all for Covid. Did that logic carry over to more people getting their flu shots? There would be an even greater impact on flu if those getting the shots were those least likely to mask and distance.
In 2018-2019 there were 169 million flu vaccine doses distributed in the US. In 2019-2020 there were 174 million doses distributed. 2020-2021 flu vaccine season obviously is not over yet, but it is estimated that there will be 198 million doses distributed, so a significant increase.
