Bojangles' recently removed the apostrophe from its name to become Bojangles.

With the exception of a piece of fried chicken at the Belk Bowl tailgate (the UConn game) - I bet it has been at least 25 years since I have had a non chicken filet biscuit entree at Bojangles.

I love the Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit with Bo-Rounds and a Sweet Tee as a drive-thru breakfast.

Also, gotta have the two-piece chicken with dirty rice, Cajun pintos, and a Bo-sized sweet tea.

My wife doesn't want to eat at Bossy Beulah's because it's a Jim Noble restaurant and he supports dipshit Republican candidates and has fundraisers with no masks, but I don't give a shit and eat whatever I want and drink Pepsi or Coke.

we went to charleston a couple weekends ago too, hit up:

taco boy (got in late, just needed something easy and fast)
prohibition (for lunch after walking around the city all morning)
chez nous (this place SLAPS)
lewis bbq (jesus fuck yes, the brisket nachos)
la farfalle (pretty good, just solid italian)
poe's (duh)

top 3: 1) Chez Nous 2) Lewis BBQ 3) Poe's

Last time in Charleston we hit a new place (to us) - Melfi's on King Street. Incredible Italian! Not cheap but I recommend. We also love Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's.

I stopped through one of those travel stops spots on a road trip to get gas and grab breakfast and the two spots that were open were Starbucks and Burger King; Starbucks had a long line and their food is trash anyways so I went BK and goddam it was some of the worst coffee I've ever had in my life

Oh. I remember. I actually mostly enjoy Instagram for following local businesses and getting news about events/openings/special-menu items etc. That is probably 50%+ of my follows.

I also don't follow so many accounts that I can't see everything in my feed daily.

Yeah it’s almost a necessity for a lot of small places. Lots either don’t have a website at all or have a very limited presence so if you want current info (especially during Covid) their Instagram feed is the best source.

Does anyone else hate writing letters of recommendation as much as me. Like what’s the point, any dumbass can become a doctor. I just want to write, sure this person might make a good doctor, I mean the lady that believes in alien DNA and demon sperm is a doctor so the bar is an easy clear.

My dad suggested that we stop by Lewis to get some BBQ to take with us while we are on the boat for a few days. The charter we are doing has a captain but is fully self-provisioned. Sounds like this is a “yes” based on your post.

We are doing an Airbnb for one night on each end and going to The Darling Oyster Bar the first night. Wanted to do The Ordinary for the second night but they only had 5:30 reservations which wouldn’t work. Settled for Indaco instead which is an Italian place that looks great. Definitely want to do drinks at Prohibition. Also 167 Raw is doing takeout and the wife loves that place so we’ll likely grab something from there.

Hopefully this isn’t any time soon since remember that time you passed out on firm solid ground.

Definitely a "yes" on Lewis BBQ, but pulled pork is like their fourth best meat if that's what you're looking for.

Your North King Street lineup looks great. The superior thing about The Ordinary v. The Darling is the interior of The Ordinary is striking as a former bank, but The Darling is a nicely decorated restaurnt as well, especially the bar. I'd add drinks at The Belmont as well.

The best bar in Baltimore is The Horse You Came In On Saloon.

Yeah for sure, it's S-tier brisket.. if you're getting some for the boat you might as well hit up Scott's BBQ up in North Charleston and get some pulled pork too, then you get the best of both worlds.

We almost did Indaco haha, in hindsight I probably would choose going over there over La Farfalle tbh. I would love to mix in The Darling/The Ordinary more often, but alas the wife is not a huge seafood eater so it's a tough sell when it's just the two of us.

Well if I’m going to drop dead I don’t want to do it chewing on some raw vegetables.

make it policy for liability reasons that ya can't do it and problem solved.

Reuters is going to a paywall and is going to charge 35 bucks a month for subscription. That just seems completely insane to me
