Chat thread 95: old people can't hang anymore

Summer beers...no particular order...

Tecate, Corona, Red Stripe, Landshark, Modelo, Rolling Rock, and any and all trashy domestic lite beers for chugging in the sun.

If just having 2 or 3 then I like to go with a hazy, like the Hazy Little Thing from SN.
 
My bottle shop was out of Bells Low hearted so I picked up a 12 pack of the Sierra Nevada summer break at this thread’s suggestion.
 
we're doing this thing and the PR woman said it was "the first-ever [thing] in [place]" and I said "I don't think we need a hyphen" and she was like "yes if it's an adjective" and I just gave up

yeah, both versions technically work, but that's not really how it goes

I have a related problem where everybody at work assumes I want to write or correct their shit for them, which I do not

Kinda like when rj assured townie that it would benefit his career to copy edit his entire book for free
 
I’ve forgotten utterly how to write or edit or anything of the sort and am now kind of a shitty communicator

I was at the inlaws recently and they had Paulaner hefeweizen. That hit the spot on a hot afternoon. I had not had one of those in a while.

I have that here but it’s combined with the fact I’m asked to copy edit a lot of stuff written by non native English speaking contracted writers. Dunno why we can’t hire those but I don’t make those decisions. Sometimes it’s easier for me to rewrite myself than reconstruct sentences.
 
Interesting article on CNN how we might not have enough drivers available to haul gas to gas stations since a bunch of them quit the business during the pandemic when demand was low, and ramping it back up will be hard.

It's funny plama, you're literally the only person I've ever heard talking about lebatard. I've never encountered him or his stuff anywhere else in my life.

I literally don't think I've even seen his name anywhere else. You could have completely invented him and I wouldn't know any better
