Not gonna lie - After 18 months of worrying/thinking about the same fear, it's refreshing to not give a shit anymore. + looks like I didn't infect anyone.
 
My father just tested positive an hour ago with a breakthrough case. He's not doing great. Does anyone have information on where/how to get Regeneron therapy in the WS/GSO area?

Sorry to hear this. Hopefully he has already contacted his PCP, as they should be able to make arrangements. If for some reason they cannot, then he could contact Wake Forest Urgent Care in Clemmons for an appointment.

Regen-COV2 is an effective treatment for people with COVID. It is recommended in the first 10 days of symptoms, and the sooner it is taken the better. It has expanded indications and is appropriate for many people to take. It can also now be used for prophylaxis in high risk individuals. Everyone should be aware of this option.
 
This weekend should be a disaster. The combo of Labor Day weekend and the large concentrated crowds attending football and baseball games should send the number of Covid cases skyrocketing. The delta variant is nowhere near finished with the USA. Get ready for misery. I hope I'm wrong.
 
Cop buddy of mine is on his way to the hospital. Didn’t trust the vaccine. Heavyset bordering on obese and says now his lungs burn with every breath. Was told to go to Winston because they’re aren’t any more beds here. Told me he now realizes how wrong he was and wants to tell everybody to get the vaccine. Hope he has that opportunity.

That said, if it is more serious than that then we should definitely take it seriously - but it is difficult to know how much of what the media reports is actually concerning. This gives the smell of their typical pending milkwich snowstorm school closings that ends up being 45 degrees and sunny.

Even with the glorious benefit of hindsight, I was pretty dead-nuts on. Statistically speaking, if you don't have a comorbidity you have never really had much to worry about different from any other bad luck of life situation. Ain't my fault there are so many lardasses around. For everyone else, get your pflacebo like you would any other vaccine, ignore the media on both sides, and life as usual. Sorry if you got the sniffles for a few days or that Tobacco Road has repeatedly proven to be a shitty doctor whose patients kick under his watch. Ball don't lie.
 
Dad is all good now. I credit this board and the folks here on helping me get hooked up with Regeneron. Without it, I don't know what would have happened.

Those of you who PM'd me or otherwise repped/helped me get it for him, next game we're at together, you're drinking for free.
