Yeah. This is fun, young, creative team. Hope the powers that be keep this in mind as this group gets older. Keep some young energy on the pitch.
 
Thats the best half we've played in years. Also Mexico's backline is absolute garbage. With slightly better touches we score 4 or 5. Still need to limit our cheap giveaways in the defensive third. Almost burned a few times.
 
Y'all I genuinely think Walker Zimmerman is our best defender. I'd take him at Everton tomorrow. Needs to not go the Besler route and move to Europe this January.

the only suspense in this qualifying is who is going to be the 4th place team. Pretty big separation of the top 4.
 
When did this team get good and fun to watch? I've really been impressed with the last few games I've seen. I like Pepi, Pulisic and Weah up front.
 
Weah played such a great game.

I had to stop and remind myself this morning that this is really the introductory cycle for almost all of these guys. If I'm remembering everything right, Yedlin is the only one left from the 14 WC squad and besides him Pulisic is the only other player who got significant run in 18 cycle. I'm not counting Lletget, Acosta, or Arriola.

Point is that the future is fucking bright.
 
Croatia - Russia was a great start to today's matches. Rain soaked field, Croatia throwing wave after wave of attack and manage to create an own goal in the 80th to advance to the World Cup. Russia to the playoffs.
 
Spain eek out a win to advance while Mitrovic scores in the closing minutes to give Serbia a berth with a 2-1 win over Portugal.

Amazing to think that the options for RW and LW going forward include Pulisic, Weah, Reyna, Aaronson and de la Fuente. That's a deep and talented group and they're all 23 or younger.

I want Reyna to just watch KDB and become that. Shouldn't be too hard.
