Banning Critical Race Theory

Thanks for providing such a great example of why dishonest fearmongering is the preferred strategy for Republicans.

It works. It’s easy.

Who gives a shit if it’s destructive.

The part you continue to miss is that people don't care about this issue as passionately as you all have. It's your religion now. Most people don't share your faith.

Wokenbroke, the only reason that crt is a point of discussion in any political discourse is that your party has made it one. Democrats in the whitehouse and in Congress are trying to govern with the mandate they were given. They are passing infrastructure laws, child tax credits, among other items. CRT is a Republican distraction tactic. No one of importance would be talking about CRT if gop state houses in places like Oklahoma (etc.) had not decided to make this an issue. We’d be none the wiser that schools are starting to be a little more honest with kids about America’s awful racial history (and present). If the GOP is really so concerned about gas prices and inflation, why don’t they reach out to democrats to solve the problem instead of hyperventilating about nonexistent local curriculum disputes. The truth is they done care about those things, but they are excited to use them to try and win more elections to cut more taxes. Everything with your fucking party is just a ploy to win the next election. They don’t actually give a fuck about anything.

Now that you’ve dropped it multiple times I can only assume you heard this religious framing in some shitty article you read. That or it’s a homegrown special that is being planted to be used down the road as a whatabout and something you bring up over and over like it’s an agreed upon verified truth and not something you just threw out there.

We have a systemic failure of the nation's logistics infrastructure but the Secretary of Transportation held a press conference to inform us all that he found an 85 year old bridge that he's pretty sure is racist. Your party has fetishized this issue.

So to recap, Jh posts about a wedge issue his party invented. When pressed for specifics about his post (which he doesn’t have) he deflects by blaming other people for caring more than he does about the wedge issue his party invented.

“Your religion now”…geez, what a pear shaped loser.

I suppose we'll find out together next November what people care about. Mark the tape on November 19, 2021 and we'll come back to whether I was right or not. I'm sure you all will have the evergreen explanations for the next time you fail.

Nice post, by the way. Speaks well.

Shoo,

In response to a specific, repeated question about what issues get missed when people overemphasize race, I pointed three examples of more pressing issues for people while your party continues to focus on the issue of race.

You then countered with the fact that I'm not sharing your tunnel vision on race. Amazing.

What in holy Jesus are you talking about?

My request for for specific examples from CRT that aren't true, and you answer with gobbledygook about other issues and try to tie it back to CRT by saying dems are overfocused on CRT/race and not dealing with gas prices etc?

That is the worst Tunnels horseshit dodge of the of question in all of 2021. That is horrible posting, dude. What are you doing?

Summon the courage to back up your assertions with facts.

<5% of the infrastructure bill that the Democrats passed was allocated to correcting past racial injustices, but all the press and the GOP want to talk about is that 5%, a few billion to rebuild so 85 year old bridges that aren't large enough to let school busses pass. Your party is a soulless complaint machine that elected a narcissistic mild fascist into the white house that subsequently attempted a coup. Fuck off with your tired accusations of fetishization and try a little introspection.

No matter how many time you repeat it, it isn't true. It is you and sailor and angus and the fear/fright/pearl-clutchers lapping the fromunda cheese off Murdoch's ball sack who are all aflutter about this. Those of us who live in the real world are just scratching our heads wondering what you are talking about, and you can't even give one example.

We've been over it dozens of times. Other factors (many of them class-based) are far better predictors of a person's economic future than the single factor of race. You all don't want to hear it.

I'm in. I like things that change outcomes. I like to focus on variables we have the power to manipulate. Race isn't one of those.

It’s also bullshit to claim that the elections will show what people care about, hate to break it to you but with R next to the name they dictate what you care about. I look forward to the massive migrant caravans moving towards the border around approximately September 2022- the 1st week of November 2022.

Have you ever considered the possibility that voters have a better idea of what's important to them than you do?

It’s really simple, you’ve spent pages weaving and dodging requests for you to explain a post that YOU made, not someone else. And you just can’t do it. Whatever you’re trying to do with this post is deflect further.

Gas is $4.00 a gallon, inflation is at a 30 year high, your party fought to keep the schools closed for six months after the rest of society re-opened yet you guys insist you lost the Virginia governor's race because of racism (spoiler: it's ALWAYS racism).

Maybe try getting the present right before claiming a monopoly of the truth of the past.

1)Gas isn't $4 a gallon in Virginia
2)Youngkin talked more about CRT than any of those things in your post-(which makes sense, as all but the last one are outside the control of the governor of Virginia).
3)As long as the Republican party keeps promoting their biggest racists, racism will always be a reason that Republicans sometimes get elected. "Always talking about race" strangely does not apply to the Republicans CRT hysterics, or calling Ilhan Omar a member of the "Jihad squad".

Republicans elected Glenn Youngkin to solve global inflation and rising gas prices. I look forward to seeing how he does it.
