MBB Game 12: WF v. Charlotte - HOF Shootout - Friday 9pm ACCN

Another game where we wouldn’t have won with any other team in the past decade. Desperately need LaRavia back and for our bench to give the starters a break. Pretty clear those guys were gassed.

He had 20 points on 7-13 shooting. 4-10 from 3. What are you talking about?

I said he was inconsistent. I didn’t say he was terrible.
 
Yeah, I’ve been very critical of Mucius over the years but he played a hell of a game tonight.

I’m a little suspect of some things we did tonight overall and don’t think they’ll work in conference play, but I also hope we will have Jake for the majority of our remaining games. We missed him out there badly at times
 
3 best things about tonight after surviving that shitshow:

1 - Alondes. Stud.
2 - Mucius. When he's off it's cringeworthy, but when he's on, he's pretty much the only other guy (apart from Alondes) who can hit a shot without LaRavia there.
3 - Whitt looks much better as a brunette.
 
Someone other than the top 6 (including LaRavia here) have to give us some minutes. I hoped it would be Whitt or Hildreth but I don’t care if it’s them Taylor, Marsh, or McCray at this point.

You said he missed 473 shots in a row in a game where he was over 50%.

But not trying to get into an argument. You can have your own opinion.

He rebounded and played defense well in a game without LaRavia. Nice job stepping up.

I’m not happy with the way we played the last 5 minutes. I don’t think our guys were gassed, but the defense was poor.

Literally any of them. Our play will drop dramatically when they’re in, but we need to find a way to get to the last 5 minutes with our key guys having something left in the tank.

Obviously he didn’t actually miss 473 shots. It just seems that way sometimes, especially when I’m the middle of a couple misses he catches a pass and isn’t even standing in bounds. Again, he usually follows it up with a great shot or defense.

I thought Whitt played pretty well in the second half. He had a couple really good assists, and he was tougher than usual on D.
 
One thing I really like about Forbes is that he's got three guys who can create their own shot in Williams, LaRavia, and Williamson and he goes out of his way to run plays for Mucius, Sy, and Walton. Everybody is a threat. There isn't a guy just sitting around on offense.

I only saw the 2nd half but agree with this - Whitt played well.

Hildreth with 3 fouls in 3 minutes kinda handicapped us here
