i probably should've let the hot sauce question fly bc my team needs all the help we can get

The Soviet Union, known for many things, but visually pleasing architecture was not one of them.

it's Eastern Europe, not Central, but Talinn, Estonia is a really cool place to visit. It's got a charming old walled city, right next to Soviet architecture mixed with lots of modern skyscrapers.

Another cool place that is slightly off the beaten path is Ljubljana, which is a pretty desirable destination for State Department people.

Diggler making the big money, my wife is dealing with an M&A for her company out in California, the lead M&A attorney there is charging the low low rate of $1850 an hour, fucking California.

BIG LAW has higher rates than BIG ACCOUNTING but we still do well.

the East-West architectural split in Berlin is pretty fascinating

I went to Berlin in the spring of '89 about 6 months before the fall; I was 11 years old. My main memories of East Berlin are that the place we went for lunch was a huge cafeteria type restaurant with a large buffet area but all the bins were empty except for plain rice and boiled sausage. We were only permitted one sausage. Then we went for ice cream and my sister mom and I each ordered a different flavor and were all given a single scoop of vanilla on a cone.

we went to slovenia on our cruise last fall. Lake Bled was very cool and the country overall had a good vibe, at least as far as you can tell in about 18 hours

I’ve heard Macedonia and Albania are cool too. Also the next Croatias.
