Official 2021-22 NBA Offseason Thread - Warriors extend Poole and Wiggins

Official 2021-22 NBA Season Thread - All-Star Weekend; Two Deacs in Celebrity Game

Yeah. If the refs hated the Bucks like they hate the Hornets, we’d get some streamables.

That’s bad and you all should be pissed.

The other thing is, the refs claim the reason they couldn't review at the next stoppage was that there was a stoppage right after the made shot .... which there was not. It was a running clock, there was no time out until the next stoppage when everyone was screaming for the review. So it was error on error on error. Which again, someone is on the take.

meh, doing stuff like that is basically part of his job. matt james is constantly repping wake (including at the wake@duke game from the student section)

Weird there's no word on the extent of cp3's injury 2 days later. Ominous

Oof, Hornets just can't catch a break, even during All-Star weekend.....James Bouknight just got thrown out of the UConn/Xavier game as a fan (sounds like he may have been briefly standing up from his courtside seat, on his cellphone, standing on the floor, and the ref kicked him out).

Here is the 2 Minute Report from that Hornets-Heat double-OT game. 5 blown calls, all benefitting the Heat. The majority within a 30-second span at the end of regulation that got it to OT after the Hornets had been up double digits, including an obvious missed goaltend on Bam, a missed travel on Butler, and two wrong no-calls as the Hornets were driving that would have given FTs to seal it. Plus then obviously giving Lowry the extra point in the first OT to get it to the second. There is just no way this is not rigged. How can you have that many wrong calls all going the same way in such a short amount of time at the end in a game where the other team lead virtually the entire game?

All teams deserve equal treatment from the refs, but you’d think it wouldn’t be the team owned by the greatest player of all time that gets shafted. MJ needs to throw his weight around

None of the 4 missed calls looks egregious. I’ve never seen that called travelling in my life, even if it is.

The Lowry 3 pt shouldn’t have been missed, though

the dunk contest has run its course. retire it.

Nah. They just need to add more participants, bring back the dunk clock, and standardize the early dunks in some way.

Add some G-Leaguers, a home team participant, local street dunker. There should have been a Cav in every competition. A local dunking legend would give the home fans two people to root for.

People who didn’t already hate Cole Anthony probably hate him now. That was absurdly dumb showmanship that took way too long for no good reason. You don’t use showmanship to hype up old dunks especially dunks you can’t do. I think the clock was 90 seconds. That’s plenty of time to try a really creative dunk and nail a good dunk.

The contest should start with some quick compulsory dunks. Take off from a certain distance, jump over a certain height, 360, something that all the participants should be able to do and make it look good. Get some positive momentum going before getting too creative.

broken thumb for CP3, reevaluate him in 6-8 weeks

Yeah. That sucks.

Who do you all have for MVP? I’ve got Ja.
