CBM: X-Men '97; Deadpool and Wolverine trailer

Is Cavill going to do any more Supermans? He has seemed particularly checked out in recent movies, especially when you compare it to his performances in The Witcher and Mission Impossible.

Peacemaker was so great. Music was incredible, opening dance number has to be up there with the best ever title sequences. "Throw your dog the invisible bone" also such a great lyric. Gunn just crushed it start to finish, glad they didn't really kill everyone off at the end.

Gunn just got engaged to the actress who plays Harcourt, so it is likely she will be around for a while.

CBM: Peacemaker finale (HBO Max)

Yeah. Once I looked up who she was, I knew she wasn’t going to (1) get nude, (2) bang Cena, or (3) die.

Gunn certainly has his people. He casted the guy who played Murn in GOTG 3 soon after he started working on the show.

I was waiting for his brother to show up in Peacemaker and never saw him.

Maybe he did mo-cap for Eagly.

On every single episode my wife would say she wants that actress’s arms during the intro sequence

I bring up the Illuminati pretty frequently, so maybe you’re taking about me? Not sure if that’s what you meant.

But that’s the logical place to go for phase 4 and beyond...er.

See what I did there? It’s a Secret Wars reference. :dork:

What if Avengers 4 is titled Avengers: Illuminati?

Deadbolt hasn't posted here in awhile, but the Dr. Strange 2 trailer gives some pretty strong Illuminati vibes according to the people who know comics.

i mean, isn't that the Illuminati that Strange is paraded before/Prof X speaks?

Some multiverse Illuminati yeah.

I heard that Feige gave an interview where he said he doesn’t like reboots which is a sign that he plans to use last Marvel stuff straight up in the multiverse rather than just reboot it. That makes sense because Feige was heavily involved in most of it before the MCU.

By the way, if you haven’t watched WandaVision or What If?, you probably should before Dr. Strange 2 comes out. Maybe Loki too.

i think it's super smart to try to fit extant material rather than reboot. just look at star trek's mangling.

i wish Disney had bought star trek

It's not like comics don't reboot in some manner after every storyline. Makes sense to just keep chugging along with tweaks or "that was universe 555 not 616!"

At first I thought it odd to choose Sir Patrick for X when he's clearly showing his age these days and McAvoy is not just younger but probably around the age of X in the comics but then it hit me that they may well both be sitting at the Illuminati table.

I give a 95% chance Reed is up there. 1% chance for Black Bolt.

They’ve been denying it for years. I’d be shocked if it’s not true.

I like the idea that the marvel universe that we know is not the dominant timeline because mutants are absent.
