Video Game Thread - $70 Zelda Expansion!

Yea I've downloaded it twice, but my brain gets so fried trying to get into it...it's so detailed.

I love the idea behind it though. I may just do that again now that you've reminded me. Just need a quick refresher.

EDIT: Right now in my Career Mode, it's time to send my Scout out again....thinking of showing some solidarity/support for UKRAINE and searching for either Physically Strong, Defensive Minded, or Attacker players. :squint: (Probably shouldn't joke about that, but whatever).

It's beyond intimidating to get into, but once you get a first save under your belt, you'll be off and flying.

I highly recommend checking out the below youtube channel, he has a lot of FM intro vids that are very helpful.

Also, feel free to DM me if you have any questions or anything. I've sunk far more hours than I'd like to admit into it the last couple of years.

Cookout and anyone else - I performed the following fixes and Elden Ring seems much better.

lol

"It doesn't seem to matter how good a GPU you have. Even owners of GeForce RTX 3090 cards are reporting problems with glitching, stuttering, and a locked frame rate, all of which are hard to manage in a game that requires split-second reaction times to avoid boss attacks. Some believe this is down to FromSoftware's addition of an anti-cheat program this time around, though there are no confirmations from the company just yet on the exact cause."

it me

though tbh, those won't fix the locked frame rate at 60fps (which makes things feel sluggish when you're used to much higher) or the lack of ultra-wide support (the REAL killer for me, you don't know how annoying it is to play a game with giant black bars on the sides of your screen until you're forced to try it)

all these 10/10 reviews should come with a caveat its for the console version only, kind of a joke that a company can just shaft the PC port this badly on basic features and get away with it IMO

I’m just glad I can run current gen games on my 1070. I’m not paying the crypto premium for a new GPU.

If I invested in a 4TB HD for the PS5 for ~$900, do you think it would relatively hold its value?

Man, Elden Ring just keeps delivering. Just at the point where I thought I was lame and leveled up past the game...... nope. It just keeps going and keeps getting harder with a million new shit to do.

Elden Ring really is that good. Beat Godrick today, and that was a great fight.

I just keep rolling around doing random stuff. Exploring and not really following any story yet. Probably should start trying to level up weapons and stuff soon. The dungeons and mini bosses are not giving enough good loot and souls/runes or whatever they call them this time.

Curious what character everyone began as. I am messing a bit with the samurai.

I’m a dual-wield, bleed warrior. Bought the game on Wednesday and already have 40 hours played. I don’t think I’ve been this addicted to a game since I was a kid. It has to a lock for game of the year.

70 hours in level 80 vagabond here with max strength and HP cause I’m a button masher. No shield, just swing the heaviest thing I got with both hands. Just now getting to the whole map. Am not using any of the online features in calling in help. Have died eighty billion times. Wife was getting annoyed at me for not learning to parry and calling me stupid

started with vagabond and then stalled out and went back to another game.

maybe reload as a casting class or something faster. i have a hard time with the slow dodge/roll

Mage really is easy mode in this game.

I believe there were 4 difficulties to choose from initially, and I chose 2nd easiest. I couldn’t imagine ramping up the difficulty

Maybe he's just talking about Astrologer (caster) being the easiest, pure tank (Vagabond) being the 2nd, then maybe warrior/samurai, then bandit being the most difficult normal class outside of Wretch.
