Official US Soccer / World Cup '26 Thread (USA vs. Mexico 3/24 in Dallas)

There are videos of security and police just standing off to the side, casually on their phones. Its a huge contrast to the security experience I've had at matches in Mexico where riot police or military separate fan sections and are present all around the stadium. This is awful...absolutely disgusting and I imagine related to the influence cartels have within the federation.

I saw a video where the “security” guard joined in with the fans in beating a guy in the head. Still had his yellow vest on. Should be easy to identify and charge with murder.

yeah, I was at an Ascenso MX match last week with only like 2,000 fans and heavily armed military surrounded all sides of the field

I'm reading reports of 17+ dead but all the mainstream media outlets are only reporting "dozens injured" -- kinda weird

I guess undressing a dead or unconscious body and then kicking it some more is a cultural thing.

Still 0 being reported dead by the governor, so odd. Hope that’s true. I’m also 100% convinced some of the videos I saw last night contained deceased bodies

Things to know Before Submitting Your Application:

All applications and any resulting sales are final. No refunds or returns will be allowed.

Specific seat selections will not be allowed. If your application is chosen, seats will be randomly assigned.

Weighted Random Draw winners will receive their tickets by email closer to the event. No paper tickets, pdf files or print-at-home tickets will be available. This event is mobile ticketing only.

gonna skip the trip this time

too many unknowns too late in the game and the flights are expensive right now

hoping to do a couple weeks in CDMX in May though, catch a club game

nice!

sounds like it wasn't really much of a weighted draw after all

sale date on Ticketmaster got pulled pretty quickly after they posted it, was originally going to be today

my point is that from what I'm gathering from around the internet is that Groups A and B got tickets and nobody in Groups C-E did

so while they advertised it as a weighted draw, the anecdotal evidence on the internet does not bear out that's how it went down

I saw a guy on facebook say he got them in group E but yeah idk more than that, small sample size.

The roster was announced last night. Sounds like Dest won't be able to make it though with a hamstring injury.
