WFU Hoops: '22-'23 Roster Construction Thread: +Ituka/Carr/Appleby/Bradford

Our team last year under Forbes was better than these guys ever were, though. That’s a good sign.

Haha I just caught myself thinking that those guys would make a pretty good team

First team:

G CJ Harris
G Codi Miller-McIntyre
F Isaiah Mucius
F Travis McKie
C John Collins

Second team:

G Brandon Childress
G Bryant Crawford
F Chaundee Brown
F Devin Thomas
C Doral Moore

The best of the rest: Austin Arians, Jaylen Hoard, Dinos Mitoglu, Olivier Sarr, and Coron Williams

Pretty sure CJ was a Dino recruit.

Pretty sure CJ was a Dino recruit.

McKie was a Dino recruit as well but played all four years under [Redacted]. CJ was on the 09-10 team that made the NCAAs. Even though they were recruited by Dino, they both played the majority of their careers in the lost era.

Michigan PG Frankie Collins in the portal. Kid should have gotten way more minutes than was the case this past season. He entered the portal the day after Michigan got a commitment from Jaelin Llewellyn. Juwan Howard dropped the ball here in letting Collins get away. Someone is going to be getting a terrific player with huge upside. Curious to see if Forbes and company reach out.

Strickland33's use of Lost Era in the prior post prompted the question. When I asked myself the question I decided forget and move on was the answer.

It was a dark period, but most of these guys brought me a bit of joy in the darkness. I'll remember them fondly, outside of maybe Devin Thomas who for whatever reason just rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah, those guys are Lost Era no matter who recruited them.

Was @ VT pre pandemic for the bball game and happened to be staying at the team hotel. Ended up on an elevator with DT and made a throwaway joke about how awful coach k was. He responded (while chuckling) something like "he's not that bad. He's ok." I knew then and there he was not right.

Cool story, Hansel.

Where are all of the ogboards.com green super user insiders with the scoops on the '22-'23 roster?

All that needs to be known is Forbes will assemble a roster for this season that will get us all excited again.

I feel like there had to be a better word choice here than "famously collapsed"

Interesting that he is attempting to transfer even though U of Florida medical staff did not deem him medically qualified to play last season. Does some school take a chance on his medical situation? How will the NCAA handle the honorary start on senior night this year with respect to years of eligibility if he gets medical clearance?
