And what’s with all the gaudy military and flag shit on jeeps now? Hey asshole that’s a pretty awesome gun metal gray colored grand Cherokee. A tactical minivan. Super cool but try putting your phone down and going the speed limit so Brayden and crayden aren’t late for soccer practice.

Let's go Bray and Cray !

Do you think they'll ever install rear facing seats in cars again?

man I saw a wreck with a Subaru hatchback with its trunk entirely crushed in the other day and I had flashbacks to the times I'd ride in the rear-facing trunk seat in my friend's mom's Mercedes growing up.

True, but they are in one of the best spots in the country to do that.

I am cool with the Subaru's tho.

Suby will cover many miles off pavement out west - it's a great option for many people in the western US that want to balance off-the-beaten path adventures with the practicalities of spending most of your time in an urban environment. True 4x4 is great for going deep into the backcountry or for particularly bad conditions, but AWD and decent tires will take you many places in the west under most conditions.

I would not want to drive up Big or Little Cottonwood Canyon in over a foot of snow in a Subaru, but plenty of people do it. Did it twice last season in a 6.2L Silverado corporate-leased truck, and it was a breeze. Blew past a bunch of struggling Jeeps/Subarus.

But yeah, generally they're great cars.

just secured a place to live in my desired neighborhood. all things coming up Ws here.

Do tell.

Also, wait til you eat at Red Iguana. My wife is a Mexican food snob/enthusiast, and she says it's her favorite she's ever had. It's in my top 3 for sure in the US.

sugar creek apts!

i lived there while I got my master's

Someone was talking about Jeep Wrangler earlier.

Warning…if you have or obtain a jl…they built it with an auxiliary battery that is a pain in the ass to get to and replace.

Can confirm.

Regulations allowing something are one thing but Obama’s not forcing man children to demand dumber and dumber looking trucks and suvs. If they didn’t sell so well I’m sure carmakers would try something else but why bother when you can make $texas putting a flag decal and a bunch of tacky tacticool shit on your kid haulers.

“Allowing” isn’t the correct interpretation - automakers shifted production to the most profitable weight/horsepower configurations as interest rates made credit super cheap for people who could have bought a midsize truck could buy a tank for $50 more dollars a month, and the automakers stopped producing smaller wheelbase trucks as crossover SUVs became more popular.
