the official new supreme court thread - Very political

Somebody explain to my why these decisions are only being made now by the Supreme Court. What took them so long considering they have had this majority for some time? I really need to go back and take an ELPS class

When it was 5-4, shaming John Roberts was a realistic strategy. Now, that option is gone.

Probably some truth to that. The other piece of the puzzle is that there are some realistic financial concerns about the impartiality of this court.

Collapse of America will lead to a second Great Depression. All because paid family leave is socialist or something.

Time for states to try banning Viagra, I guess. And...... I don't know, knee replacement surgery?

They'll never ban Viagra. Since red state legislatures and courts are made up of pretty much nothing but old white dudes who likely need Viagra, they won't touch it. Now, birth control pills or anything women need for birth control, yeah, they may well go after that. Patriarchy at its finest.
