i'd much rather we just automate more of this shit and then implement a UBI personally

you know we're having labor supply problems when even chikfila is struggling to hire

did they run out of 14 year olds in Hendersonville??

ha, it isn't a bit, i'm just not convinced its as bad a thing as you're making it out to be

well we're still not sure if this is legal so

but yeah I think paying people for labor in scrip is generally bad

but maybe that's because I'm personally dealing with shitty labor practices rn idk

I mean outside of the mining and construction industries, why the fuck am I spending $20k on workers comp for people who work in front of computers all day.

feels like UBI is pretty far off so I wouldn't draw a line between this case and that

if this was more time intensive labor, maybe

it's really just people carrying bags to cars, i doubt they even let them do order inputting as "volunteers"

or if they weren't also trying to hire more part time workers on top of that

an hour of carrying bags doesn't deserve to be paid in gift cards, man idk

yes i'm sure these retired folks and/or whomever has the free time to sign up for this would rather go through all the tax paperwork and get 19 dollars less taxes (and worry about another source for their income taxes 8 months later) for that hour of hanging out in a parking lot

i'm no insurance expert but i have to think your rates are much lower than in those other industries.

Go back to $2.13 minimum wage for restaurant workers like it was in my day, and strap some homeless to some rickshaws delivering food and the total with delivery fees would be like $4.99

why don't you just hire a homeless guy to be your personal delivery guy? You pay him $20/day for all food deliveries. or better yet hire him as your valet. or chief of staff. or butler

well sometime people do things that aren't good for them or other people even though they think it's a pretty sweet deal

I get irrationally excited at the thought of winning the mega millions rn

I’m eating at chick fil a right now! Also, chick fil a pays 19 bucks an hour? Summer job!
