2021 Republican Coup (Practice Run)

What evidence does he want to see? They asked nicely, went down there, and got documents. Then found out Trump kept more documents.

Li'l donnie jenius believes the fbi should have taken him out in handcuffs and purposefully banged his head into the cop car on the way to the back seat.

Jake Tapper sucks so hard. He's almost at Chuck Todd hard sucking level.

Apparently CNN is making some moves to accommodate Trump conservatives. WarnerDiscovery now owns the network and several of the leaders of the conglomorate are either Trump supporters or have been critical of the network becoming "too politicized", such as major stockholder John Malone. They just fired Brian Stelter and canceled his show "Reliable Sources" - he's been criticized by many conservatives (including Trump himself) for being too "biased" against conservatives. There have also been reports recently of CNN executives meeting privately with various conservatives to find ways to "better present" their view of things. But remember, other than Fox all mainstream news media is left-wing!

isn't the way we figure out how to curtail/survive to investigate and prosecute him as a criminal?

I agree there’s no simple or easy solution to our collective Trump problem.

And I agree that should he be allowed/able to run again it’s imperative he be defeated as decisively as possible.

And that prosecuting him will enrage his idiot followers and duplicitous Republican “leaders” and generate legal/political revenge.

But I think it’s a risk that probably should be taken.

At every point, we don’t punish them and the problems get worse. I don’t think we see the rise of Trump if Nixon gets punished for Watergate or Reagan gets punished for Iran-Contra.

It is still astonishing to think that only 6 years after Nixon went down for lying and cheating his way into a second term, the GOP retook control of the white house for another 12 years, largely because gas prices were too high and inflation. The republican party felt no consequences, and really were rewarded, for Nixon's abuse of power.
