I would generally agree with this. It’s the penetration and coverage that are a major problem.

Yeah, the lack of push from the 1s on the DL and the busted coverages are concerning. I think we will clean it up. Also think getting Sam back will change the overall dynamic of the team. Hope that happens next week, but guessing it’s going to be two more weeks.
 
Cooley looks amazing and you put the 175 lb freshman in to run out the game. Perplexing.

Because we're going to need to score 20 more a game to play with the big boys?
 
A number of things to improve upon but that could be said about almost every team post week-one.
 
Hell I don’t care who it was against, 1st team DL is gonna be motivated in practice or they’re gonna lose their spots.
 
Yeah multiple beers and 4 units on the spread make you think/post such silliness. Go Deacs.
 
Good - Griffis has a great arm and can make all the throws, very, very accurate. Experience should hopefully help him on decision-making.
Bad - The O-ine and D-line can't control VMI so expect that to be a BIG problem all season.

Feels alot like LY. We'll need turnovers, fewer penalties and luck to come close to 2021.

i was a little worried about zach tom; that guy was as good of a college LT as you're gonna get with his talent and experience last season
 
Anyone who was not paying attention need only to listen to clawson post game.
 
We had almost double their penalties and 3x their penalty yards. Not used to seeing that from a Clawson team.
