Chat Thread CCLXV: DDD takes a lover

Ugh I think I legit tore some muscles in my forearm at TENNIS last night. Tried to keep playing because I’m an idiot and def made it worse. I think it’s the first time I’ve ever retired from a match. Hurts so goddamn bad.

Injuries are the worst, heal up.
We played this couple in mixed on Wednesday night at Carmel and they destroyed us. She was a lefty and really good and just cracked the ball. I thought we played well but they were just better. Just shows me how far I still have to go to be at a 4.0 level.
 
Oof, I was at the hospital with a player till midnight last night, and now I have school, then practice, then a football game where I’ll be lucky to drop off the gate at the bank by 1 am. Plus we can’t find anyone to work at the outfitters this weekend so it looks like I’ll be pulling a little day work weekend and wrap it up with a 6 pm practice on Monday. Labor Day weekend indeed.
 
In the last 18 months I’ve dealt with four distinct injuries on the right side of my body. Shoulder, knee, elbow, and now forearm. Getting old, man.

BiffTannen tailgated early and attended the JV football game. Interesting scene on the parking lot as there was a football parents tailgate, a cheerleaders parents tailgate, kids milling around, and people walking into the game looking at us like we’re degenerates. We kept it in a cup though.
 
Man, that Argentinian VP almost got got last night. Talk about lucky. You can hear the gun click, but no shot fired.
