2022 Atlanta Braves Season Thread: off season decisions loom

Hate to rely on Charlie on the road to get us back to Hotlanta, but looking like that’s what it is going to take.

If the Braves somehow get back in it and take this series, what do you do with Strider for the rest of this postseason? I don't think you can rely on him or run him back out there as a starter. Shut him down? Bullpen? All of a sudden the rotation would be very thin.

Probably moot anyway. I don't have a great feeling about Morton tomorrow. Pretty sure he's already been shelled in Philly once or twice this year.

The Braves' pitching has left a lot to be desired, but this offense needs to WTFU.

Wow - inside the park HR. That's a pretty good sign things are not going your way.

The damn pitching staff has to hold it here. We’ve been in gigantic holes all series.

Huge for McHugh to get out of that with no runs. And what was Acuna doing on that ball to right?

Acuna is completely checked out. Idk if the Philly crowd is in his head or what. If he'd backed up Harris, Realmuto likely would have been held to a triple instead of an ITP home run. And then idk what he was doing on that other play.

I think some of it is them telling him not to hustle at times for his knee. I know he’s been told not to run balls out.

I think that’s a wrap, folks. Sad and frustrating way to end it. But I’ll always take a division title.

Yeah, kinda wonder if the Braves and Mets put too much emphasis on that division race

Glad we had the good year last year and the NLCS run the year before. This year feels too much like the streak of postseason futility.

An East title still means something and is reflective of the actual year we had. We had the run last year. This series sucked but we are built for long term success. We’ll be back next year.
