coincidentally, my wife and I were also looking for a winter kids-free trip, probably mid-late Feb and the suggestions yesterday made me start checking around on flights
copy-paste of a text from my brother on friday -- no idea if it's still active and you'd have to get yourself to Chicago but...

Guessing all of your winter/spring plans are mostly made, but got a flight deal to Europe from chicago between Nov-May if you’re interested. All on delta.

From Chicago (ORD)
Budapest (BUD) - $378
Inverness (INV) - $376
Kraków (KRK) - $363
Madrid (MAD) - $387
Paris (CDG) - $394 (direct)
Prague (PRG) - $375
Rome (FCO) - $392
Warsaw (WAW) - $362
Zagreb (ZAG) - $376

Boomers love that online shit. They never thought they’d get to reconnect with their high school buddies. Then they get together and say all the same shit they learned online.

went for a hike on Sat with my daughter. Leaves in peak bloom; beautiful day. Get to the rocky view spot and found a boomer starting at her phone.

Oooh, Inverness. Could be a good starting point for my long desired Local Hero shooting locations tour.

flight prices are so variable. when I used to go to Europe for work sometimes my wife would come and I'd look at flights that'd be like $1700 then next day like 450.

I’m going to be in a cab when this thing ends and am intentionally not going to try to win due to my poor management

Inverness in the winter could be tough. Icey and cold. May still could be very wet.

Madrid and Paris though look intriguing for a spring flight.
Last time I was in Madrid it snowed which is apparently really rare.

Yeah I feel bad. Ph drove like an hour and a half to eat dinner with me and I am apparently incapable of walking 30 yards to steal your beer.

I don’t think I mentioned that I got a flat on the way back, AAA didn’t show, and I got helped out by a Road Ranger. That was a crazy night.

As far as Zoom dates, it makes total sense especially for women meeting dudes through dating apps. Set up a time to chat on Zoom, see if a dude seems cool or a creep, make sure you’re not getting catfished, and then go or not go from there. We’ve all been on plenty of Zoom meetings for work and you know within a few minutes who you’d want to meet in real life.

Didn’t you also have to drive thru an insane storm too? Ph takes friendship seriously.
