That seems weird because there all kind of lame ass home business that pop up on apartment complexes.

Why would you want to live in NYC if you won the lottery and didn't live there already ?

That's what I'm saying! I'm in a two week long "dispute" (which isn't even a real dispute because they just keep making me go through hoops and there's no contact number, I'm just sending customer service tickets that never get resolved)

in the hypothetical where i win a billion through the powerball, i don't think i'm buying multiple homes

just travel and stay in nice spots

I don't really see the benefit of owning multiple homes in this scenario

a second home only makes sense to me if it's in reasonable driving distance (whatever that means to you)

Just made a "verification video" for Google to add us to Google Maps and give us recognition in their metrics as a legitimate business. This seems like insane hoops to jump through. It had to include outdoor signage, documentation evidencing that we are a permanent business including certificate of occupancy and use as well as permanent furniture showing we aren't a seasonal business.

There just can't be that much Google company fraud trying to get verified online to necessitate this right? They said after this that it will take up to 3 business days to review and "determine if we are a legitimate business." I mean...just seems like a lot.
Our little 4-home driveway is technically its own street and I kept bringing it up to Google Maps to add us and finally they got back to me and I had to take a bunch of pics of the road and house numbers and the street sign and stuff years later. When we first bought our house it used the address of the main road since our house fronts it and we were the only house at the time. But halfway through the closing process Buncombe County deemed it had to be a separate road and we had to redo all the paperwork with the new address. For the longest time everyone in the neighborhood had to use our original house address and it was annoying for deliveries and stuff. But the USPS got it in the system quickly and so did UPS/Fedex. One time I had to call DHL like 4 times to find our house and I had to do all kinds of Google Maps screenshots and photos to add our address so we could get a delivery but every time we'd get an email saying they couldn't find our house and I'd have to repeat with customer service.

if you find a few fav. spots i'd def see the plus of having your own shit ready to go so you can roll in whenever you want

You're thinking too small. You have a billion dollars. Buy a plane and some land for a runway and you can be in and out of Maui in no time.

Telluride, Kiawah, London, Boston. Different outfits and cars are required at each location, so when you own a place, you can just leave it there. No packing, just call the jet and go.

Yeah nobody with a billion dollars is driving anywhere.

That sounds like a nightmare. At first I thought the verification issue was my boss registered the DBA as one thing but decided he wanted to go with something else for the signage (different convo that I've been trying to make him realize he needs to fix) but given the repeated requests for simple documentation like signage overall I don't think Google is reviewing anything as of yet and is just having us jump through hoops. Regardless, it's a such a waste of time doing trivial things to send to Google. They have everybody's info anyway just use what you've "collected" (stolen).

If I won that kind of money I’m buying a sick yacht right away no question.

i'mma just hire a personal assistant to CREATE JOB(S) and they'll handle all that for me

i don't need a house

My man, with where the dollar is to the pound and the euro, now is the time to buy overseas, you're gonna get more bang for your buck. Would you really be in LA when you could have a place in Barcelona?

I don't speak Spanish fluently, for one

We also need to be real. It's not a billion dollars. It's like 350 mil after lump sum payout + tax.
