Sure. But if you had to pick a guy to bring the ball down court and decide who should get to shoot the best look at a 2 or 3 pointer with 5.7 sec, your order would be:
1. Appleby
2. The second-leading scorer in the ACC
3. The leading assist man in the ACC
4. The best ballhandler on the team
5. Hildreth
 
ok, so i didn't see monsanto on the court at the end. following the ball.
was he a decoy? he had to be injured or forbes needs to answer why he wasn't in the game. that would be manning/collins type bullshit
 
Agree that I'd like an explanation from Steve as to why he didn't go in earlier. Usually most coaches trust their best shooter enough to put them back in the game at the 4 minute mark (and know that they absolutely cannot pick up another dumb foul). I have no idea why Forbes didn't put him back in the game. However, 3 of his fouls were incredibly dumb fouls. He's got to stop making those mistakes. Once a game, maybe, but not over and over again.
 
Monsanto played 13 minutes. Screw Forbes. If he can’t get the defense fixed after UVA rained threes on us, he’s hopeless as a defensive coach. He can coach offense but he needs someone to coach the rest for him, including telling him to Monsanto back in the game.
 
This is easily the worst defensive basketball team we have ever had in my memory, and that is really saying something. We can’t even defend a simple ball screen, which most middle school girls teams pick up in a couple of practices. So instead we have to go with that goofy fucking zone. We don’t have a single player who has the heart to just go out and guard his fucking man. It is pathetic.
 
Haven't read this thread yet, so sorry if this has been said, but according to Greenberg the gameplan was to make them put the ball on the floor.

This did not happen. Something seems to be wrong here.
