He’s dropped. He was projected around where Jake got picked. Now he’s projected near the end of the 1st. Still projected to be picked by a good team.
 
Some of ya'll are hilarious. We have been cellar dweller awful for a decade. And you think a new coach, hired during a pandemic, can snap his fingers and fix all that? I know the portal helps turnarounds. But come on. Let's be slightly realistic. He's the reigning ACC coach of the year. We just signed a top 100 4* for next year. Let's step away from the silly talk about Forbes future. You make yourself look dumb

He’s shooting 38% from 2 and 34% from 3 this season. That’s the skill set NBA teams are seeking?

I thought this would at least be close. We have played hard this season but we are what we are. Next year, we hopefully get over the hump.
 
Doesn’t matter on the possible techs. Defense fell asleep and offense played with butterfingers. And Forbes was standing there scratching his non-existent hair.

I see this. But I also see the concerns re: lack of disciplined play. I’d say defense, turnovers, and rebounding are 50%+ coaching and effort, and we’re often severely lacking in those areas.

Also, last year, he had the ACC POY, a first round draft pick, a G league player, and a couple more guys who are/will be playing professionally overseas. And missed the tourney. That seems kinda hard to do looking back.

Not really. We just signed a fringe top 100 player who will likely be a good player for us over his career but isn’t going to be a big contributor next season. We have major questions at PG and in the post. If we don’t make the tournament next season we are seriously on the edge. Don’t think that’s controversial at all.

Flash in the pan season for them. Smith is gone and all their portal players. That's a lot to replace
 
Tonight was the first time all year I felt like they gave up. Of course, now we have half the scholarships on the roster sitting there doing nothing. Figured a result like this was only a matter of time. Just shitty luck all season.
