Saudi World Golf Tour 2022/2023 Thread

Course now +3.5 for the day after sitting at like 2.5 an hour ago.

Block goes 70-70 to make the cut. He very well may be top 10 by the end of the day. What a great two rounds
That really is outstanding. I'm not sure many people realize how big a difference there is in being a PGA tour pro and being a PGA club pro. Even if a club pro has tour pro like talent, the difference in the amount of time they really get to spend on their golf game compared to a tour pro is staggering. Hope he stays in the hunt until the end.

Only 5 guys under par for the tournament that have started their second round:

Rose -3
Scott -2
DJ -2
Pereira -1
Pendrith -1 (and in the clubhouse)
Not even an hour later the current list of guys under par who have played more than 18 holes:

Rose -3
Pendrith -1 (finished with 36)

That's the entire list

This has been fantastic entertainment so far. One of the more enjoyable majors through the first couple days in recent memory. A super fair test that is challenging for these guys. Love it.

Bryson hit another player standing on the tee box with his own tee shot. Maybe not totally dialed in.
Speaking of not totally dialed in, Cameron Young forgot to move his ball back to proper place on a short par putt. Had been asked to move his mark by Fleetwood. Penalized 2 shots for a double on 16, then made bogey on 18 & 4, double on 6 and fell apart to a +9 to miss the cut.

He should probably grow the beard back.

And DeChambeau doubles 6 to fall back to -1. 6 is more than a little hard. The lie that Woodland had in that bunker was as bad as you can get in the US. I hope Conners can keep this up. He's always been a great ball striker but usually doesn't hit many putts.

Caddie needs to be on that too

Nah fuck Canada

Gonna be interesting to see how much golf they get in before the course is too wet to play. Looks like it will probably be a Monday finish at this rate.

This has been a blast. Handful of guys under par and conditions remain pretty bad. I do think the final few groups are going to get a respite with the rain letting up a bit down the final few holes. Now whether or not that appreciably changes course conditions or their ability to go low..who knows.

Brooks playing really steady golf. Scottie struggling. Conners just keeps on keeping on.

Block going to enter tomorrow top 10 after firing off three straight even par rounds. Dude absolutely needs to play Champions Tour in a few years, he's a stud.

Koepka was great today. Another 66 in this weather. Do it again tomorrow and the 3rd PGA is his.

Yeah, I seriously doubt Koepka loses. He's healthy and back to his pre-pandemic form. Add to that he's the best in the world when tackling long and tough venues. I'm not a Brooks fan any longer, but I can stomach him winning better than DeChambeau winning.
