Is there a reason why removing the tonsils isn’t the best option?

Our youngest had huge adenoids that had to be removed when he was 18 months old because of snoring/trouble breathing at night.

Same here, huge tonsil and adenoids removed and tubes in ears around the same time. Craziest/saddest part was my 2 year olds voice completely changed after tonsillectomy and I honestly grieved for a few days over it.

I only put that because that’s what was being implied. However there’s no need to take a food that’s perfectly acceptable in its current iterations and put some shitty local twist on it to make it stand out. Then the people that associate that twist to a locality defend it no matter what as a defense of that location even though they know it sucks ass. If it was so great and didn’t suck, like most culinary trends, it would expand beyond a small area.
