Tennis

Great stuff. I’ve got to watch more tennis. I really like this kid.
He's good.

I think some of the Americans are gonna make a run at him in the US Open.

Fritz is my guy along with Korda. Fritz matches are must see for another reason.

Also real high on the fact we've got a top 10 player in Tiafoe and Eubanks on the rise too.

If he stays healthy, I think Alvarez has GOAT level potential. I thought so early last year. His game and mentality is that good.

The only questions are:
1. Can he stay healthy?
2. Can he stay hungry/have others push him enough?

Novak might win a few more, but he can’t defeat time. And now he finally has a younger player that is in the same area code as him mentally.

Only issue with Carlos’ game is that it’s so powerful, which doesn’t always age well

He’s awesome though and so easy to cheer for

Tiafoe-Alcaraz at the US Open last year was an all-timer

that was some TENNIS

First Round of W-S open starts today. I'm going at night to hopefully see Thiem and Gasquet.

The last time I went, Kyrgios was set to play Andy Murray and he bitched out minutes before.

There were some first round matches yesterday, along with the second round of qualifying. I thought Alex Michelsen was impressive, especially for 18 years old. He's 6'4", moves well, and has good ground strokes. His backhand was great. Overall, he reminded me of Medvedev with the height, movement, and groundstrokes.

isner retiring after the us open

good riddance to a goober person with an unwatchable game

you don't have to have a watchable game when you lead the world in Aces. . . . just saying. and the greats of all time aren't even close!

I don't love or hate the guy, but he helped get the Winston-Salem Open off the ground and made it a respectable stop on the tour and proving ground for a lot of young players.

Cool that he's a local, and always represented that well. He's not an idiot or hot head or media whore. . . . So I do appreciate him.
