thread for Good Design

Everybody should have to post a picture of their home now

pretty weird but I don't think i've ever taken a deliberate pic of my house. google has:

about 10 years before we bought it, but it looks the mostly the same except we replaced the windows with new, black trimmed windows and changed light/pole

wooded front yard, wow, like the vibes of that

except for the ever present peril of my house being demolished by large trees it's awesome

cute lil bungalow, does it still have all that frront yard landscaping? that's p nice for curb appeal/lower maintenance (I'd think)
Yes, previous owners xeriscaped the front yard & it was a a nice lil bonus. Still there & somewhat thriving? Some plants did not survive our two week trip to the UK this summer but they were mostly ones we were going to replace anyways. Pretty low maintenance besides watering in the summer & cutting back in the fall.

looking at the street view of my house I don't think it captures well what makes it nice

100x better, I think the next project I want to tackle is to xeriscape/landscape the front yard of our house a lot more, it's just a dumb small sloped hill w/ grass that is annoying to keep cut

Asheville has these so-called green homes popping up everywhere, especially getting shoehorned on small lots, ridges, etc. small footprint, tall, weirdly slanted roof, different colors, etc.

When ya drive up the blue ridge parkway to Pisgah, one of the overlooks has a buncha houses on the adjacent mountains and a golf course in the valley. Where would those houses be located and what do they run ?
