Mitch just doesn’t play smart. One time today he’s flushed out of the pocket and running toward the sidelines and there is no way he’s going to get back to the line of scrimmage, so instead of chucking it out of bounds for an incomplete pass, he gets forced out for a 2 yard loss. No, that’s not a huge deal, but just another example of not being smart under the gun. I’m just not sure he has much awareness of where he is on the field sometimes, see the Mitch Pitch.
Yeah this play and the one where he held the ball for 5 seconds with Ellison wide open in the flat jumping and waving his arms with no one within 15 yards of him resulting in a 3 yard sack were the big “Mitch ain’t it” moments of today.

As a 50 year old dude, I would get seriously killed out there but at low 20-something I feel I could get 2 completions. Lol, probably not…

He looked amazing against VMI last year

Then you realize VMI went 1-10 last year and is one of the worst opponents Wake has played in awhile

He had longer than 5 seconds. Probably more like 7.

To be real clear, other than those board posters who played football at a d2 or higher level, no one on this board at any point in their life could gain a yard in an ACC football game.
Don’t really agree with this. I was a mediocre HS QB in a mediocre conference/division. Won some competitive flag leagues but never played tackle football again. Could certainly gain some yards in the ACC before my body would have been/would be broken.

In my prime and 3 years of top flight coaching, nutrition, training, etc, could I have done better than Griffis? I’d like to think so, but who knows. I do think there are literally thousands of people between the ages of 18-28 (with eligibility!) who could do better.

I have slightly more slender OL size but am a relative weakling with Kenny Picket-like hands. No fast-twitch muscle and not an athlete. Can't run either. I guess Mitch has me beat.

What would be worse, if Mitch Griffis is truly the best QB on our roster or having a coaching staff that believed he was the best QB on our roster?
What is even worse is that he is the best QB on the roster.

You are way overrating the abilities of this league and players. Many very good high school players not offered college scholarships would gain yards. There are elite athletes in the ACC but there is also quite a number of average. Look no further than our magical Midge for a reference.

Now, the NFL? That's entirely a different story.

you could not be more wrong. I assume most people on this board could be a CFO then also?

What is the purpose of the nickname “midge”?
oh we all know. Abster is one of those very classy individuals that is going to insult the uncontrollable physical aspects of a college student. classic low rent keyboard warrior who is an embarrassment to the WF fan community

It's lame to insult other teams this way...to do it to players on the team you theoretically support is small and pathetic

I lettered in 3 sports in High School. Thought if you played me the entire game in an NBA I could score 10. Got to sit court side for a Hornets practice when L.J, Alonzo, Mugsy and Kendill Gill where there. If the other team really decided to play me I would have never scored. It is such a different world. So fast. Maybe could have completed a dump down pass. But not 100% sure

I’m 5’9” 155 lbs so I think I’m bigger than Mitch. And certainly would play bigger. Also I don’t throw sidearm. At 38, I still have some eligibility left…

Deacon fans, are you with me? I would (not humbly at all) accept the starting QB position.

You thought you could score ten points in an nba game? If so you would’ve been in the nba.

Yeah. This seems like some wild delusion.

I thought I was decent to good in high school. Played pick up against a guy that had a long career overseas. Bro I got nothing for that guy. I couldn't stop him. Or score on him. Totally different world
