Taking out most of the hilarious gibberish, I think you need to just ignore whatever Trump will respond with when you’re crafting your narrative. His whole debate technique will always just be the rhetorical equivalent of throwing sand in your eye in a street fight.
My point is that you should actually acknowledge those “fake underlying factors” to an American audience. Not because the Buck stops somewhere else. But you can say “the egg companies got together and gouged us on prices during a time when the pandemic was already causing so much suffering. The republicans refused to pass so much helpful build back better spending that would have extended your pandemic checks.” You are allowed to play their games, democrats just for some reason design their message for inner beltway Washington, probably because that’s where all their strategists live, some cushy NoVa suburb.
