2024 PGA Tour thread

Didn't catch much of the Sentry this weekend but I am curious how Kisner did in the booth. Anybody??
I thought he did pretty well. Way better than Azinger, but that's a pretty low bar. With some time I think Kis can end being really good in the booth.

I normally don't like tourneys that are birdie fests, but I'll make an exception for Kapalua, even though those guys are hitting flip wedges into half of the par 4s. Also thought Kisner was pretty good as analyst, although after Azinger, anyone would be an improvement.

I feel like with analysts they always sound great for a couple years but then they recycle the same material enough that the viewing public get tired of them. Happened with Zinger, Faldo, Romo...

Faldo is still good. Zinger was never good. Right off the bat you could tell Azinger was only in it to rejoice in the failure of others. Johnny Miller may have been overly critical but at least his analysis had some depth to it. Zinger was just straight vitriol plus the occasional moronic idiom he seemed to ad-lib.

Will Z was hitting all over the place. He has changed his swing with the hope of avoiding continued back issues. It may take awhile for WZ to hit his groove.

Will Z's card included six bogies, a double, and an eagle. No birdies. Very windy when he played.

Good rounds out there from Conners Poston and Keegan so far today. Aberg trying to get a few birdies coming in. The morning wave guys today gonna hope the wind picks up like it did yesterday

Five way tie for the lead right now at the Sony. Bradley probably favored (and I hope he wins since I have him 60-1 to win), but Stevens, Pavon, An also fascinating stories. Murray probably used to being in a five way under 18 situation.

I never tired of Venturi or Miller.

Watched the last few holes of the Dubai pro am this a.m. where Fleetwood sank a 20' birdie on 18 to beat Rory and Lawrence by 1. Seems like half of Fleetwood's and McIlroy's wins come in the UAE. And watching that some this week, they were talking about several of those DP guys now living in Dubai, including Fleetwood. Had no idea that was a thing, but I guess central location for the DP and play year round.

Didn't watch the Sony yesterday live but watched a little this a.m., and Grayson Murray is tied on the leaderboard. Hadn't seen him in forever, so nice to see him back.

But is it nice to see him back?
He's a huge douche canoe, mouth breathing MAGA dope. And possibly a pedophile. And a drunk. But otherwise I suppose he's a terrific guy

Had no idea about personality, just knew he spent some time at Wake and had come back from a drinking problem.

I forgot that a) Murray was the top rated junior golfer nationally for his age at Leesville Road High School and b) played at Wake for one semester before transferring.

Sorry. I have strong opinions on him. I overreacted.

He lasted about 30 seconds at Wake. I think he went to three or four colleges. Ecu. Arizona state. Wake. That might be all

Dude has been a total mess for years but has made an effort to turn things around and for that I’m pulling for him. Everyone deserves a chance at redemption and I for one hope his journey with sobriety is successful one day at a time. His post round interviews were very gracious and appreciative…nothimg like the Grayson of old.
FWIW appreciate your saying you overreacted which you did…Grayson deals with personality disorder and alcoholism which impact mental health.

He also went to 4 schools…you left out UNCG
