I am claiming Medieval English literature as my expertise.

I’m still not sure if the Iron Claw was a bad movie or not, but it had probably the stupidest, most maudlin scene of the past 20 years, so it’s hard for me to form a real opinion right now.

The crazy thing is how the real life events are even worse than the movie. They didn’t have time to cover all the shit!!!

I know there are many anti Church folks here but I had to share this. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind. Anyways, I have been struggling lately and almost skipped Church today. I went. I talked like normal to folks and nothing felt different. The last hymn was “Here I am, Lord” and dang if it didn’t do something. It’s funny how a song can have an impact. There were many conversations after service and I think that hymn had folks in a good mood and wanting to talk.

One of my favorite church songs from growing up.

Always liked that one as well.

Not sure if it's nostalgia or something else, but there are a few old hymns that just hit differently.
