MBB Game 27: Duke @ LJVM - Saturday 2 pm - ESPN

anybody who has a problem with the Joel after watching this game is in need of a credibility thread
The Joel can be good for today and still a horrible arena for us. We played a listless game in a lifeless arena against VaTech when we were the number 1 team in the country. That cemented my view of the Joel as a horrible facility for us.

I sat beside CP3 on a flight to DC when he was first drafted. He said he absolutely nut punched him. I asked him why and he said that Hodges kept saying that he killed his grandpa. Hodges was a real piece of shit. The next year he was shot three times outside a night club.

Well that’s just Paul’s opinion of what happened. I think he’s wrong. No intentional punch.

You think he panicked? That was about as orchestrated as you’re going to get. He does his trip move which he utilizes all the time, realized he may be caught and then he and Scheyer face start their weird breakdown.

I could be wrong. Don’t really know what was going on in his head. The whole thing is just a freak occurrence.

I do think that Forbes handled it well.

The name I think I heard called the most often today during the broadcast of our game was…Joe Lunardi.

Once or twice would’ve been plenty…sheesh.

Hell of a good game. And so great to see so many students and fans rocking the Joel. Credit to the coaches and players.

Hell of a game today.

Sallis is truly special and is just getting better and better each game. He has to be an absolute nightmare to defend.
Cam was a persona non grata for me at halftime but he TOTALLY REDEEMED HIMSELF with that 2nd half performance, especially the last 10-12 mins or so. I don't always love his proclivity to put situations into his own hands but you have to respect his mental strength to just Keep. Going. At. It. He's relentless. No wonder it seems so many opposing players just obviously hate his face.
Carr just did great post work against Mitchell. That poor guy just couldn't do anything that mattered once Andrew got him to the low block.

And we just beat a, yes, overrated Duke team at home, so let's not start throwing a parade just yet, but we did this with our two sharp-shooters really not showing up off the bench today. That's kinda wild.

Lastly, our starting 5 is better than Duke's starting 5 and I don't even think it is debatable. We have more talent on the floor at the opening tip-off.

Court storming is great. Filipowski had no situational awareness. Tyrese proctor was further from the bench than Filipowski was but he knew the situation and jogged at a healthy clip and was out of the way of everyone. Move your ass and you won’t get run over.

How about Hunter fucking Sallis y’all
My only gripe is we let Duke take him out of the game at the end. They effectively denied him the ball except one possession where we drew the foul. If they were going to sell out to deny him the ball at all costs, even if it meant committing a foul, we need to force the issue and make them foul. That was a failure on our part and I was disappointed that we gabe away that advantage
