2024 Presidential Primaries and Election

With respect to #2, Republicans have a big problem separating their personal beliefs from their policy agenda. Haley could easily say "I believe embyros are babies based on my faith, but reproductive health and family planning should be up to the family and their doctor, not the government beyond issues of public safety." But Republicans are all about enshiring their beliefs into policy.
Becauase it was Ph, I swear I actually googled this word because I assumed it was an actual word since he typed it. I wanted to see what it meant.

LOL. I originally misspelled it “inshiring” and I caught the first mistake.

Didn't Haley at one point say she would sign an abortion ban because if Congress passes a law, that counts as the states deciding? (Because Congressional members are from different states, you see). Though I remember something like that.

I don't remember that one, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Yes, she has said many times that she would sign whatever could be passed through Congress, but hedged by pointing out that most restrictions would have trouble getting through Congress. (Pretty shitty demonstration of leadership, IMO. But I guess none of the Pubs other messaging on abortion has worked so far.)

I don't supposed anyone has asked her what she would do if Congress passed a law codifying Roe v. Wade protections? She might remember she has a veto option in that spot.

We all know if Republicans controlled all three branches again they would end the filibuster to pass a national abortion ban.

lol...:(

dang I was working up a swell "enshiring" joke but see I was beaten to it

Totally on brand. If she actually has a personal belief on abortion, and I doubt she does, I’d guess she’s pro-choice.
