What would the point be? It literally hurts your odds, because of the runner on 1st.Fly out to LF and they didn't try to tag?

That poor short stop had a rough day.

I think they are counting on Roland being the closer when he comes back. Right now they are trying to piece together the bullpen. Who do you recommend to take Falco place?Falco might need to be more of a mid reliever than closer as seems to struggle in that role.
Also wonder why we don’t switch up Seaver and Kurtz. Seaver seems to be struggling at 4 spot and Kurtz at 3 and king clearly has more speed which would be nice to get on the pads before Kurtz and follow up marek and tellier. have we tried that order at all?

The Kurtz and King combo is trying to force teams to pitch to Kurtz. King hitting will increase those odds. It’s looking like Winnay may be the one that needs to be moved up.
True but if the throw gets to the plate, you may get a runner at second where a single ties it. Assuming it was first and third - wasn’t watching. No sense in risking it. They need two runs.
Basketball, what's basketball, did we play this season? With basketball imploding and time springing forward this weekend, all attention now to baseball.

Sometimes I feel like people just make up words for baseball stats.King's BABIP right now is .219. He's been pretty wildly unlucky so far
Great post. Would only add that even with some shaky moments through the first twelve, no college baseball team has a weekend rotation to match Hartle, Burns, Massey. In fact, no one is even close. So, yes, there are concerns about some spots in the lineup and even the bullpen, but WF's starters make WF the favorite in every weekend series that the Deacs' play. That is just a huge advantage and why WF remains the consensus number one despite some warts popping up so far.Lots of hand wringing here about being 11-1 and #1 in the country. Are we the same team as last year? No. Are we still an elite team? Yes. Do we still have 4-5 first round picks and three of the best starting pitchers in the country? Yes. Will we lose another game this year? I hate to say it but yes. Even the ‘27 Yankees lost 3 out of every 10 games they played, and that’s the high water mark. We will lose some but win more than we lose and it’s all going to be fine.
I appreciate everyone living and dying on each pitch…but just because we allowed 6 runs to Georgetown through the 3rd inning on a Tuesday in early March doesn’t mean we’re not a top 10 team or we should just pack it in and call it a day like some have said.
Let’s enjoy the ride, realize that baseball is weird and fluky things happen, and come back in mid-May and decide if we want to agonize over where the season stands at that point.
