2024 NCAA College Baseball Thread

Shenanigans in Tallahassee as the grounds crew apparently has difficulties reading weather reports.

Raleigh is calling it a Bull Durham Rain Delay.

Game last night canceled, only one game today with the third game of the series not being made up.

No clear reason as why there isn't a game three, but FSU was sure to get swept if they lost game 2, however, there are some rumors from the FSU contingent of State having a travel curfew.

The travel curfew thing makes no sense. Final exams are over. They really don't need to be back on campus for anything.
 
Maryland Eastern Shore is 0-45 this year in baseball. Not sure when the last time a college baseball team went 0 for the season. They have four games left. They have lost a few games by one run, including a couple of walk-offs.

It appears that every other D1 team has won at least 6 games. Last year, UMES won 18 games. Rough times on the Eastern Shore.

I remember Saint Peter's being legit abysmal for several years in a row in the last decade.
 
Pitt picked a few runs last inning but trying like hell to let the Holes start a 2 out rally
 
Is that recent or from a few years ago? Sounds and looks like it is old. Crawl has MD coach as B1G Coach of the year.
 
Is the run rule in effect for the tournament or no? If so I hope Duke run rules these fools just to embarrass FSU!!!
 
Cecere had a good B1G tournament, including a 10th inning homer yesterday, but Penn State came up short in the championship game, 2-1. Penn State won't make the NCAAs, so that is the end of his career. Glad Cecere was able to find a good landing point. He did very well for them this season.
 
Birmingham-Southern College is in the DIII College Baseball World Series. The son of former MLB player Adam LaRoche is part of the reason.

The kicker? If they win, there isn't a place for the trophy. Birmingham-Southern College ceases operations this month, closing its doors and putting the campus is up for sale. That is wild.
