Cincinnati-Xavier brawl!

Wells and Amos get 4 games, Lyons get 2 games and Holloway gets 1 game.

So fucking laughable. Mack and Cronin should be fired for this "discipline."

Mack, another Prosser protege...looks like he recruits the same kind of AAU thugs that Dino brought here.

Just overall classless behavior, but should we be surprised? Mack is of the bad culture according to Ron, right?

I don't know if Ron actually thinks this, but after his whining about the cancellation of the Skip Prosser Classic and then this incident and his reaction to it, I don't think he's someone that I would want coaching at Wake

The cancellation of the Skip Prosser Classic was amateur hour on our part.

Wellman never should have signed that contract, but once he did we should have stuck to it.

Didn't we want to play them before ACC play started and they wanted to play us during conference play?

That was my recollection and it makes sense. They wanted to play us once all of their players were done being suspended from the Crosstown Shootout

Well I understand why we wouldn't want to do that, but I don't understand why Xavier would be insist on it.

Does anyone know the story behind the LD/Pat Kelsey incident when X played here in the Prosser shootout?

If I recall correctly (and I very well could be wrong), Kelsey kept yelling to his players to let LD shoot because he can't make anything. Apparently LD made one turned around and yelled "shut up motherfucker" and got a T. Could be shaky on those details, so if anybody else has more accurate ones I'm sure they are correct.

I'm glad LD called him out on that... what a jerk. That whole staff could recruit and Skip could coach, but Battle is clearly the only worth keeping in my mind.

Skip had a way of keeping egos in check. Others on his staff have proven they do not have that same skill.

Pretty accurate. Kels had scouting responsiblity for our game and had even made a point of telling his players before the game to let LD shoot and he was reinforcing it from the bench in an attempt to get in LD's head. LD got the T for addressing an opponent's bench. Many of us lost a lot of respect for Kels that day.

Seems like Xavier lacks a ton of class with the type of player they are recruiting (and yes I would say that it refers to us as well since we had a lot of their coaches as well). Yesterday only reinforces that imo.

Skip's teams weren't exactly known as being disciplined. We were regularly called a thug team. Vytas and Trent would constantly get in scuffles and commit very rough fouls.
