Giants vs the Cowboys on Sunday nite

It's not silly at all to bag on someone who is awesome at racking up big stats in games that don't matter. He's pretty much the anti-Tebow.

I do give him credit for dropping Jessica Simpson before she plumped up and then marrying a smoking hot skinny chick.

He was light's out two years ago in the two games vs Philly.

He isn't perfect, but has shown he can do it. Tonight's abysmal performance certainly wasn't down to him. That's for certain.

Who is gone next year? Abram Elam and Terence Newman are two that I think won't be wearing a Cowboys uniform.

I think that we'd like to keep Laurent Robinson, but I'm not sure we'll be able to afford what he'll command in the open market after this season. The dude is going to want to get paid.

Martellus Bennett will be gone for sure. I also think Anthony Spencer will be hitting the road.

Anyone who questions Romo is not smart. He's a great player and the perception of him is completely unfair.

Anddddd there he is. I wondered when our resident Romo hater would come out of the woodwork.

I'm much more of an overall Cowboy hater than a Romo hater, I just recognize that they are never going to win anything significant with him. As with most NFL teams, they are constructed so as to need their QB to be a winner in order for them to be successful. He is a loser, and therefore they will continue to lose, which is fantastic, so keep making excuses for him and keep him around.

As for the winners, however, should be a decent game against the Falcons. Unlike Romo, Ryan will get rid of the ball quickly from the outset, which will negate a lot of the pass rush. White, Jones, and Gonzalez definitely pose some problems for the defense. The Giants are going to have to score a lot of points to win. Though if they do, I'm pretty sure the Packers want no part of the Giants D in a cold-weather game in Lambeau.

Let me get this straight. You are blaming the game-plan the coaches decided to roll out in the first half on Romo not throwing short passes? :wtf: Look at the effectiveness of the short passes that Romo decided to throw in the second half.

Blame the coaching staff for the horrendous lack of blitz support. Blame Jerry Jones and the other staff for not having adequate offensive line backups. Blame our fucking terrible secondary.

Romo has played very well this year and continued the streak tonight with a heavily bruised hand. He has improved immensely over the past few years and will continue to improve. It is the job of the coaching staff/managers to put the players around him to let him succeed.

Honestly, I don't really care that you hate the Cowboys. They have a myriad of issues, but Romo is about as far down on the list as you can get.

Everyone still making excuses for the Cowboys and Giants. It has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Romo is a god-awful loser. The Giants will get bitch-slapped hard against the Falcons.

You can blame the game-plan all you want, Romo is the one with the ball in hands and there are 3 or 4 receiver targets on each play and not every one is running a post route - he can throw it as quickly as he wants. If he needs to wait for a coach to tell him at halftime, "hey dumbass, you need to get rid of the ball quicker", then that should be sign #1 that he is not a winning QB.

I'm fucking furious at a lot of players and coaches tonight and I pull no punches. Tony Romo never even entered my thoughts for who to blame for this shitastic debacle.

Many fans of other teams (just like man fans of the Cowboys) are fucking stupid and/or ignorant.

And the Eagles had nothing to play for today. Where you get the gall to assume you can talk shit about teams that actually had something to play for longer than your own is beyond me.

Fucking Christ...

If Romo were the exact same player, but the Cowboys were winning Super Bowls during this era, he would be the Derek Jeter of football. He'd be getting all the credit for the team's success regardless of how responsible he actually was. When he was caught with Jessica Simpson in Cabo during the bye week, it would've been "this guy is a fucking pimp! New Joe Namath!" instead of "put your dick away and study the playbook, moron". He'd have endorsements deals for every type of product known to man. And he'd walk into the Hall of Fame.

So really, at the end of the day, there would be no justice in the world if the reverse side of that equation did not involve him getting an insanely unfair amount of blame for every season the Cowboys go without winning a Super Bowl. And unfortunately for him, that's the side the coin landed on.

You should probably send in your application to ESPN as an analyst for that stunning display of football acumen.

It is blatantly obvious to anyone that was watching that they changed their gameplan in the second half. Why it took so long, I'm not sure, but they obviously had something they wanted to do in the first half (which wasn't working.) Again, not Romo's fault, no matter how much you want to say it is.

As stupid as it all is in today's world... I really can't disagree with much in this post.
