I just saw this thread. Did Billings seriously get canned? What the fuck is going on? He was one of the best assistants on the team.
 
I'm with everyone LOLing about how there CAN'T be nepotism if Grobe and Lobo are related. That would make family reunions awkward.

Grobe: "Hey Steed, how are you?"
Steed: "Fuck off old man you fired me"

No Ph...you are being ridiculous because you think that coaching staff changes are made based on whether or not they are great friends or related to each other by marriage.

Yes...apparently he got fired. He was clearly one of the best on the team...waiting to see what the deal is when everything sorts itself out.

Can't go along with that sentiment. It's the appearance of nepotism, the firing of a coach(Billings) who by all accounts has done a great job, and keeping a coordinator on staff who is clearly incompetent.

Speculation as to the reason why that would occur is natural especially when you throw the monkey wrench of nepotism into the mix.

I'm aware of a business in Greensboro that periodically needs temporary help to handle rushes. The owner will not hire an immediate family member. or boyfriend/girlfriend of even one of the temps, much less have any regular employees in that situation.

After some of the stories he's told me I understand why.

The couple in question are getting married after these coaches have been together for what...10 years? To even suggest this is absurd and ludicrous...

No rational person is suggesting that the SOLE reason Lobo has a job is that they're related. The hilarious part about the whole thing is that everyone has been speculating that Lobo has compromising pictures of Grobe and following the Grobe/Wellman duo letting the best assistant coach on the team go it comes out that GROBE AND FUCKING LOBO ARE IN-LAWS.

You couldn't have written a better SNL skit about the situation. It's perfect.

I'll just say what I've said since 2005...#FIRELOBO

Good lord...I'm fucking done with the boards...y'all are off the fucking deep end. If you really think that our athletic department would allow nepotism in it then I don't know what the hell to tell you...have fun making fun of our coaching staff and people that cheer for the team without me.
