Wake vs. Clemson Game Thread (Deacs Pummeled Again)

Truth is McKie thinks he is a 1st rounder and wants to declare (at least that was the story 2 months ago)...but I think he is learning he would be a 1st rounder in the WNBA draft.

12-12 overall, 4-6 in conference play.

That is the mark of a team that has improved over the course of a season. It's the mark of good coaching. It's exactly what we aren't.

Sadly you know that if Wake gets lucky and wins 2 more(maybe GT and BC) that some will point to the fact that [Redacted] won 5 more games than last year. They will say this is a huge improvement.

McKie wasn't a first rounder when he was playing well.
 
How could Travis McKie possibly view himself as a first round pick? Can't shoot from outside. Undersized. Extremely limited handle. Laughable.
 
Travis is the least of our problems.

And the kid balls his ass off, no need to knock one of the two players who still care.

I refuse to believe that players like Travis and Carson who had other excellent D1 offers, are as bad as they are playing right now.

I'd like to think Travis would be a double-double guy on another team, and Carson damn sure would have had more than one rebound for the first 39 minutes and 54 seconds of the game if he was developing somewhere else.

We just need to clean house and start over...

It helps that they got to play us twice in conference.

He's been horrendous in conference play. Good kid and all but he gets a major pass. Needs to step up his game considerably.

There is a core contingency of Buzz-Out posters (and I would certainly like to consider myself one of them) who have gotten hammered for repeating themselves & 'focusing on the past'.

In my mind... The quicker the majority of fans know that the outliers in Bz's job performance (aka: wins) are just that.... outliers... the quicker the 'meltdowns' aren't just brushed off of Ron Wellman's shoulders on the assumption that its just the 'fringe' talking.

I strongly believe that the simple fact is: Bz is not the answer & he never has been and never will be.

I'm just as willing to say that now as I will be after we upset Duke (which will likely come after I get hit by lighting from this freak thunder-snow we're having).

He's not our only problem but when your supposed 2nd best player does this, on a team with limited offense it doesn't help.

Travis is an undersized 4 and can't shoot well enough to be a 3. Everybody knew that when Dino got his commitment.
