Breitbart dead

Anyone who stopped ACORN in its tracks deserves praise in my book. AB breathed fire, shame he's gone.

Yes! Death to voter registration!

He actually breathed large quantities of a white powder from South America, which is likely why he lived half an average lifespan. Hard to drum up much empathy for someone who openly stated he loved to make enemies, but RIP nonetheless.

Now, that's how you do it. Pos. rep.

Amen.

Usual suspects on threads like this one, up to no good. As usual. As I suspected. Wait....

If you're going to be small-minded and petty, at least be original. Maybe something cowardly (or cowardice; which'evs) like a tag that says "BO's Birth Certificate Trumps AB's Death Certificate".

At least amuse me as you debase yourselves. As you were...

43 and natural causes? Something is amiss.

The man did what needed to be done, and knocked heads along the way. The RW equivalent of a nosy reporter, daring to touch stories that the MSM wouldn't dare. A Drudge Lite. Hopefully somebody will fill the void.

I think its cute when people think ACORN was just "registering" voters.

It was a publicly funded arm of the Democratic Party and AB finally stood up and did something about it. Too bad it turned out to be a Hydra, you cut off one head and two other heads pop up.

It has to be cocaine related...even if you stop using, it fucks up your heart.

Being honest here, I'd heard of AB before but never really knew what he was about or what his politics were. I could say the same about whoever his counterpart is on the left. I just watched a youtube video of a speech this guy made at a CPAC conference this year, and after listening to him ramble on for more than 15 minutes it seems to me that he is just a blowhard who thrives on demagoguery. I found none of his arguments, once he finally got around to making one, thoughtful or elaborate in any way. I'm sure he's very smart, but I was thoroughly unimpressed with him.

Granted, I haven't read any of his articles or books if he's written them, but that is my first impression of him and it will be hard to shake. If those who cite him as an influence want to send some material my way that better represents his ideas, I'll check them out.

The reality is ACORN had its own employees arrested in Indiana and other places. But don't let facts get in the way of your boogeyman.

I don't have a problem with the "uncivil" comments on his death. For a good rundown from the left's Twitter universe go to this constantly updated link:

He fought rough and hard. I'm sure he gave no quarter and asked for none. But let's not forget that liberals are all the time telling us conservatives/libertarians to be "civil." They complain about the lack thereof. Well, go to Daily Kos or Democratic Underground this afternoon and you'll be quickly be disabused of the notion that liberals/leftists have anything to complain about.

And I chastised people on this board for calling W Hitler.

I've only read the Daily Kos once. Had their stories led to the firing of innocent people like Breitbart's did, I'd call them out for being wrong as well.

He was a bad guy. He didn't care about harming innocent people and lying about them to get more power for himself.

The comments under the tweets are more entertaining. I like this one:

"Nothing like tragic death typifies the immorality, emptiness and viciousness of the Left. And it will once again be on display as it has been for years, from Andrew Breitbart’s young death being ridiculed, to that orgy of Paul Wellstone’s public funeral, a scene straight from the days of Caligula."

I want a RW Wellstone Funeral!

I want a RW Wellstone Funeral!

This isn't about you.

Wellstone was a genuinely good man. Only crazy people whose lives are about hate didn't respect him.

The fact that some RWers still bring this up as a negative shows how depraved they are.

What else were they doing? The had some dumb low-level employees submit fake voter registrations because they were paying by the registration--basically they used a bad incentive system for their street-level submissions--but none of those fake names ever voted, so it was more a matter of internal theft than anything. And some other dumb employees fell into a weird pimp show trap set up to create a scandal from thin air. But nothing came from that, either, other than some people got fired. The right used this to destroy the bend, so this name died and other voter registration programs replaced it. Meh.

There was never anything going on but media frenzy. Nor is there now.

Obviously not a fan of his, but I feel for his family. Four children are without a father today.
