Ugh, fundraising. I had to do that shit incessantly in HS to pay for trips to Disneyworld and Myrtle Beach. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

It depends on your price range for a town house. Arlington/Alexandria are expensive but more young people live there. Fairfax/Vienna/Reston will be slightly less expensive but still pretty pricey, but City of Fairfax and Reston have decent downtown areas now where a solid number of people in their late 20s live. I haven't gone out to those places too much but Cheese is living in Reston for a few months so you could probs pm him and ask him about the nightlife. Springfield/Herndon/places further west would be cheaper but then you basically just live in suburbia.
 
If you want to see someone get butt-hurt on this board, make antagonistic comments about the state/region they're from. That seems to get most people riled up.
 
Yeah if you can give some more info on your situaish, like age, marital status, etc. If you like going out on the town though Arlington/Alexandria are gonna be the best.
 
When we look, we'll be late 20's (married), looking for metro proximity, and would like to walk to restaurants and such, but we're realistic in what we can afford. Maybe we can push 400k, but that could be high. I know Reston is getting a metro, but I was out there last weekend before the Eric Church concert and thought it was a hike (only 25 mins from Bethesda, but I left around 4pm before rush hour picked up I assume). Our ceiling will prob eliminate Arlington, but maybe outer Falls Church?
 
I was pretty busy this morning and it went by quickly but now it's slow.

decent falls church is more than most of arlington i imagine.

Also, I'd like to hear from you and phan about your expectations and what you'd like to see this off-season/ next year.

I'll start with MY tigs

Fire Leyland, fire Jeff Jones, fire Lloyd McClendon. Demote/trade Raburn, Kelly, Worth, Santiago, Boesch, and Valverde

Keep Dirks, Garcia, Jackson, and Young if at all possible. Try to get Castellanos closer.

Promote Belliard. Move Coke and Benoit to the front of the pen with Porcello/Smyly. Move Villareal and Albuquerque to setup/closer.

There are some places in Arlington that would probably work, metro access might be difficult and it's not gonna be right in the Clarendon/Courthouse corridor, but there are some nice more affordable areas.

They already announced Leyland is back, also I'd say let Delmon walk. He stinks.

Awful. My favorite was "Tag Day." When we just went door to door and asked for money. We weren't selling anything. Nothing given in return. Just give me a donation.
