    Fire the OC

Hard to fault the receivers when we aren't throwing the ball to them. Personally, I think this is the most talented receiving corps we've ever had as a team. One-handed grabs and taken to the house on 3 occasions last year....something no one has ever seen at Wake before...

    Fire the OC

Here are some comparable stats from last year to now: 2015 Rush Avg Per Game: 105.2 Pass Avg Per Game: 228.2 Total: 333.4 2016 Rush Avg Per Game: 147.3 Pass Avg Per Game: 161.3 Total: 308.6 This begs the question has the O line really improved or rather, regressed? I for one think...

Official Wake Forest vs. Villanova Game Thread - 1:30 ET ESPN2

Anyone can understand that D ranking if you watch us....Manning can't coach D or rebounding as clearly evidenced in all first 3 years....very easy to win when you can have twice as many or more possessions. I predict Manning is on schedule to have us at the middle of the pack ACC by year...

Wake Forest Investigating If Louisville Knew Too Much

Pretty wide gap between a team that lost to SMU and one that ran roughshod over FSU....

Wake Forest Investigating If Louisville Knew Too Much

That's actually the most plausible explanation, that someone's computer and emails were hacked. I'm sure the coaches communicate the playbook plan that way. It doesn't take much to jump from that theory to how Louisville was blowing almost everybody away, even FSU, but then an embarrassing...

    Hinton

Duke's season was greatly altered after Sirk went down for last time, IMO.

Wasn't that loss in the rain and Riley had like 5 INTs?

FSU Game Review / Bye Week and Army Game Thread

Agree with the O criticisms. Tired of hearing we can't run any other O due to lack of personnel and limitations in athleticism, etc., etc.,etc. There is no way this current O has a snowball's chance to advance the ball on ACC D's. Unbelievably simple, limited, and down right ugly to watch...

    2017 Football Recruiting

When you look at our overall needs on the field after watching our games, the O-Line has to be a top need/priority. Need multiple guys signed in this area and a few with offers from our ACC competition if we're ever going to compete, IMO.

FSU Game Review / Bye Week and Army Game Thread

The comparison was to "athletes" or athletic talent, or the combined bigger, faster, stronger argument. And in that regard FSU has always had a edge on us. I stand on my point, it was mainly the creativity of the O, players that believed in it, and could execute it. Clawson doesn't seem to...

FSU Game Review / Bye Week and Army Game Thread

So Grobe had way more talent than FSU in '06 when we won 30-0?! I don't think so. It was: believe in your O, practice hard until you perfect it, run your O. I'd say that '06 FSU team may have been more talented than the current. Coming into the game, Xavier Lee was more of threat at QB...

FSU Game Review / Bye Week and Army Game Thread

Does anyone know why our offense is so unbelievably limited? Is it talent, smarts, size, or what? I understand a game plan to shorten the game, play good D, win the TO battle. We did all that. But when its a 2-score game halfaway through the 4th quarter, it may be a good time to adjust the O...

Tulane Game Review / Duke Game Week Thread

Wonder what he could do and develop into given a chance to play an entire game. Said it all last year: he is obviously our best option at winning. This was put together by BSD, I think, in an effort to promote Hinton as the starter when the QB battle was taking place in preseason practice. Also...

Tulane Game Review / Duke Game Week Thread

With Sirk now likely out for the season, Duke has been running Daniel Jones a lot at 1st string QB. Built a lot like Sirk at 6'5", 210. He's either beat out Parker Boehme, Boehme may be slightly injured (he did play in last scrimmage), or Jones is getting more reps to bring him up faster to...

    Wake Forest Football Preseason Thread

Amen...said it all last season but I didn't have the inside info on health/injuries. Hinton won the game at Army and really played well in about every game he had a chance to get good reps. Besides the State run and FSU game, Clemson and Louisville were notable performances. Most of the bad...

    Crump hurt again

Although this particular injury wasn't due to contact, maybe we should reinstitute the "less contact" type practices we use to have in order to preserve our talent. We really couldn't afford 3 injuries in the top rotation WR corps and expect improvement from last year, IMO.

BBall Recruiting Thread 2k17-Chaundee Brown commits to WAKE! Brandon Randolph to AZ

I have to say if any of them watched a game tape of his coaching they likely will decline an offer. You have to be a pretty bad coach to beat the teams we did in Dec, have people figure out a way to play you and not be able to make adjustments, and then loose about every game thereafter. Too...
