Every loser bench player on every opposing team who has played Wake Forest in basketball history who has set career highs in points, assists and rebounds in literally every game we’ve ever played suggests no gambling issues here.

At this point, following college basketball (for Wake Forest fans with Forbes as our coach) is like following minor league baseball—it’s gonna be a new roster every spring.

What’s sad about this thread is that, these days, the answer to almost any “Is ____ a better job than Wake” question is yes.

Wife and I came up to New Brunswick, Canada. The weather is looking perfect today, after rain and clouds the last couple of days. We’ve had an amazing time so far. Pretty stoked about today.

These guys are literally creating the market on the fly. It’s no surprise that it’s going to be inefficient at this point. Shit, Boopie may get $500,000 or $800,000 somewhere. It’s hard to begrudge these guys trying since everyone is literally creating it as they go.

Maybe I’m reading too much into this (potential) news, but it’s starting to look like maybe this team didn’t like each other too much and had deep fractures within, and that accounts in some ways for the wildly inconsistent play and the nosedive after the Dook game. Sorry, but NC State having a nice run in the post season ain’t remotely connected to why Wake’s basketball has been in the toilet for decades.

Nah, this is what makes it great.

I’ve been a Wake Forest sports fan my whole life, but the last five weeks (February 24 forward, post Dook) have been been a real kick in the nuts.

This doesn’t seem like a team that’s going anywhere.

We should know better, but it’s also incredibly rare that we have a team that is hyped in the first place, thus making it even more seductive to allow yourself to give into the hype, and amplifying the accompanying disappointment when we inevitably suck.
