$189,375.98 Nightclub Bill

What is the first thing on the receipt that's 25k a pop?

25k for a bottle of champagne?? FUCK OFF

Does it come with a few bars of gold?

It says 15 L. Is that a giant ass bottle of champagne? Or some sort of assortment of bottles or something?

A 15 L bottle of champagne is called a nebuchadnezzar and is the equivalent of 20 normal bottles of champagne. It's the biggest bottle they make.

We really need someone to coax bkf out of retirement for this thread. Randleman's champion of liquor by the drink and arch enemy of excessive income should take a gander at this bill! Paging bkf ...

Not unless it was a huge bottle of goose. 750 ml is ~17 shots right? It's actually cheaper to buy the shots. My guess is bottle service is required to have a table, which is therefore included in the markup.

But...yea.

CookoutToy has purchased the grande sized GreyGoose bottles before...I'll bet you could get 35 shots out of that thing. Probably not fifty though, you're right.

Spending 500 bucks on something that really cost 30 bucks, and is easily accessible, makes you an asshole. I don't care what else it really comes with.

Think of it as spending $470 on cover charge for the V.I.P section and table reservations, and then $30 on a bottle of booze.

Either way, it is what it is. You're spending a huge amount of money to get drunk while rubbing elbows with "famous" people and smoking hot women. Whether that's worth it to you or not is kind of a personal decision.

(for me, I've done it once or twice - certainly fun in a bachelor party setting, but probably not something I'd ever do in "regular" life).

If you pay $500 for a bottle of fucking Grey Goose vodka you're an asshole. And worse than that, you're a fucking stupid asshole.

Simple as that.

Couple thoughts on that.

I'd never pay $475 for any drink, but in my experience a corporate card or someone with so much money that $475 is like $5 is almost always paying the big tabs. I've been in VIP at a few Vegas and South Florida clubs, and never dipped into my own pocket. If a vendor can show you a great night and that "helps" you decide to buy $2m in equipment, who cares about a few thousand dollars?

Second, would it be worth $1000 to see the Super Bowl or the Champions League Final? Same concept. You're paying a huge premium over sticker price for access.

You'd think if you were buying that many Widows they'd throw in the water and Red Bull free.

The concept of why people do the bottle service has been pretty much laid out. It is definitely not something I would do on a normal basis but on occasion, it was an awesome time.

I honestly had never felt like more of a boss. It starts off with you bypassing probably a hundred people waiting in line, then getting escorted through the EXTREMELY packed club to the roped off middle area where there are probably 8-10 tables with couches and such. Around those couches, outside the roped off area, are so many people packed in like sardines. Safe to say we felt very comfortable inside our area.

The entire night we had 2 smoking hot girls with what seemed to be the sole job of pouring us drinks and making sure we were always happy. These two girls were responsible for only our table and the one next to us. As well, we were introduced to this huge black guy who went only by the letter T. From what I remember, he introduced himself with:

"My name is T. If anyone rubs you the wrong way, you let me know. If you see a girl you like, let me know and I'll handle it. Really, anything, just let me know."

And to the extent about seeing any girl, it was awesome. We literally just had to point someone out to T and he would have his men go up and ask the girl if they would like to join us. Not a single girl said no.

As someone vadimivich mentioned earlier, think of it as paying $470 everything I mentioned, and $30 for the bottles. I agree it may not be for everyone and definitely not something I would want to do regularly, but given the experience, I find it very hard to believe anyone wouldn't have an awesome time doing this. As well, it is almost always done with a group of friends so you're actually only paying a fraction of the total cost. Just my two cents.

it's been mentioned, but you're not PAYING $450 for the booze. you pay it for the whole scene. yeah i guess it's a little much, but when you do it for the right reasons, it's pretty sweet.

have been to Vegas over 30 times, and i don't always do the club scene (probably 25% of my visits). anyway the second to last time i went in December, i was with a great group of 10 people, 5 guys and 5 girls all celebrating an event. we had one of the better tables at Tao (photos below). we get 3 bottles plus tip it's like a little over $1,500. split around that's $150 a person. you've never spend over $100 bucks at a bar before? buying shots for people or something?

it was a freaking awesome night and yeah, sometimes the extra things you're paying for are pretty sweet.

here's the view from the balcony table, and honestly it doesn't do it justice. personally i don't see how spending this amount for a special night is any different than a lot of other things, but i guess i'm just a huge ASSHOLE.

this is all completely accurate. they keep dudes you don't want coming in out, and you can just have them bring the hot girls to you to meet, drink, and dance. it definitely can be pretty fun when done right...

As a side note, I think it is hilarious that PosRep Junkie has been post padding to get to 50, but now is in the negative so his reps don't count anyway.
