1/$5M with incentives and performance bonuses that probably haven't been published yet. Thought he might fetch a little more guaranteed. Not a great park for him.
 
I don't understand why the Braves wouldn't have re-signed him for 1 year/$5m, but maybe he just preferred Philly.
 
Braves official (lie) statement was that he wanted 2 years.

Total f-up to not grab him for $5 mill, but maybe he'll fall apart.
 
Oh, just remembered the the HoF announcement is at 2PM today. Smoltz a possibility.

The statement was they made a similar offer at the beginning of FA and were told he had offers in hand for more money and years. It is possible they moved on at that point. We got pretty lucky with his season and it is unrealistic to expect him to repeat it.
