2016 Panthers Thread: MOVING ON

It's going to be hilarious in retrospect that the bears traded up to get trubisky in a draft where CMC went 8

One-on-one, it is going to be difficult for anyone outside of a cornerback to cover him. What is going to be really interesting is, if he gets healthy, what is going to happen with Samuel on the field. I said it earlier and I will say it again, I think who benefits the most from this, if he works hard, is KB. Between Cam's ability to run and what we are seeing from CMC, and if Samuel is anywhere close to being as troublesome, it is going to open up a lot on the outside.

This might be a whiny post, but can we please start a new thread for only the 2017 Panthers season. I think we should wash the vibes of the 2016 season away entirely and start fresh. Don't want the stank of last season tainting the this years Super Bowl vibes.

Bersin is ahead of Byrd on the first depth chart. Stewart ahead of CMC.

I am cool with JStew getting the starting nod going into the season, he is the established vet and it is only a matter of time before the torch is passed to CMC. Bersin though, he has gotta go. I am not sure what we are thinking he can do besides what he has already shown us. I think Byrd can step up and be a better version of Philly Brown.

2017 Panthers Thread: Preseason

No clue why they just published it yesterday.

I think JStew should start too. I'm hoping for some two back sets. Both excel in pass pro and CMC will be a terror in the flat. Give me that with Olsen, KB, and one of the speedsters.

i didn't realize preseason week 3 was only 5 days after tomorrow's game.

sounds like the plan is Cam won't play tomorrow, will play against the Jags preseason week 3, and that will be his only game action before week 1.

Works for me

Yeah. I like seeing DA and Webb get extended reps. The fewer hits Cam takes, the better. One reason I'm all for using CMC in the wildcat formation a few times a game.

Apparently Byrd stuck it up against the Titans at the joint practice yesterday.

Also, Bersin was the genesis of a Pick-6 allowing a ball to bounce off his chest.

Shula displaying creativity at any point this season seems like a stretch. Expecting in the preseason is crazy talk.

IF we run the wildcat expect him to swing Cam out wide and let Webb run it. We already have this one drawn up in the playbook.

I was talking about during the regular season.

I am trying to remove my Panther colored glasses re CMC. Still not sure if he is Duke Johnson, Danny Woodhead, or Marshall Faulk. What previous player (not limited to those listed) will he be comparable to?

He'll be compared to Danny Woodhead regardless. I'm hoping he's like Marshall Faulk.
